There is no math education problem in America. White kids continue to do fine on math tests. Asian kids, too. The problem is America is becoming less and less white. Niggers and spics, who are going to be half of all kids soon, are just not very smart.
It depends more on the district than anything else. In majority white districts not infested by globohomo, you are more or less correct. However, if you're a white kid in a majority non-white district, and/or a globohomo district, you are likely getting A grades when you deserve a C or a D.

Grade inflation is caused by parents complaining and the administration (who literally do nothing but sit on their ass and collect a government salary and pension) using their connections with the unions to force teachers to raise grades to shut screeching parents up. Rather than tell those parents their kids aren't doing any work in class and have been suspended half the year (doing work), they give the parents what they want and the rest of us now have to deal with zoomers who can't make change.

There has also been a major problem since No Child Left Behind where teachers bump their student's grades because lower scores means less federal money, which means the teachers might lose their jobs or the school closes altogether. The dirty little secret in K-12 education is that a lot of teachers are fucking lazy and do nothing more than babysit kids.

I love when foreigners who know nothing about our education system tell us we suck. Our graduation requirements are the bare minimum, not the maximum, and our maximum is higher than every other country in the world.

Minor PL, but I graduated from a non-magnet public high school having taken four college-level math courses after taking second-semester calculus (by college standards) in my sophomore (second) year. I was not the valedictorian; other kids did more. Also, because Vivek thinks that jocks are dumb, the valedictorian was a lettered athlete.

During the USA's heyday as global leaders in science and engineering, most high schools didn't even have calculus classes. School doesn't make you smarter; it just teaches you some skills and knowledge. Accelerating calculus to earlier in the curriculum has no real effect on student outcomes other than they might graduate college a little earlier, or have more time for electives. Also, since we now require far more people to take calculus, we've dumbed down calculus to learning tables of derviatives and renamed calculus to "introductory analysis" or something, and moved it to the third year. Besides, an extra couple courses before you turn 21 really is not the difference-maker in science and engineering.

The other issue is engineering jobs just don't pay all that well relative to the skill required. These are jobs that want to recruit from the top 1%, maybe top 5%, smartest people in the country, but not pay them a commensurate salary. You can do much better for yourself by going into sales (something people who don't speak English as a 1st language will always suck at), becoming a dentist, going to law school (before saying lawyers don't actually make money...lawyers who are smart enough to have gone through an aerospace program do very well for themselves), or, if you want to continue nerding out, shoot for an entry-level position at a FAANG, which will pay more than double an entry-level engineering salary.

Don't become an electrical engineer, though. You'll make a decent income, though never anything like what you'd make if you'd became a radiologist instead, and you'll be passed over for promotions in favor of women or pajeets.

He's right, your average amerimutt is too stupid to do the jobs that exist.
Just look at Boeings issues. Those are all the fault of the union american workers.

I think it may have a connection with the shitstorm brewing in Canada. Trudeau and the Liberal Party is hanging by a thread. Last month Trudeau had to eat crow and concede they went overboard on immigration. However negative you may feel about the USA take a look at Canada and thank the Almighty you don’t live in Curried Canada.
So logically if Canada is forced to stop taking in Indians that’s going to have some impact on Indias economy. I think it’s safe to assume lots of Indians living in Canada send money to their families in the old country… much like South Park’s Goobacks. But anyway the demand for overseas work is still strong and if Canada stops being an option then they want the USA to open up.

I’ll say it again the concept of reforming work visas isn’t bad on principle. But it needs to be that H1-B workers are more expensive for companies to hire as opposed to citizens. What Canada did which really is pure evil is make it cheaper to hire foreigners so every Walmart and Tim Hortons is staffed by Indians.
Lol wagie commuters, Just get a car. Fuck /r/fuckcars.

You are basing this on what? I have seen what a American Programmer makes vs an H1B makes. They are comparable. They may make more even if its a "hot" skill.

The trick is that the actual employee doesnt get it usually. The companies grabbing the h1bs are body shops that specialize in them. Their billable per hour is well within what i could get an American out of school to work for. But they take a massive cut and the employee gets pennies, and then the contracting company embeds like a tick and cant be removed due to how institutional knowledge they de facto own for your business belongs to them and not you.

The shops do sometimes underbid like crazy to get their foot in the door but once they jeetify it they slowly ramp up billables because their staff are the only ones who know how your billables or supply chain systems work anymore. They eventually charge more than American ftes and some exec gets the idea to bring it back on shore again. This time rather than on shore some companies are looking at latam and eastern european devs. Especially the ones keeping remote work.
H1b get almost no benefits. No retirement. No health benefits. No Medicare/social security (yes I know it won't be there when current crop retires but they still don't have to match it). If they are fired or let go, there is no severance pay. While actual salary may be comparable, the benefits of the job in terms of healthcare, childcare, and job security are not there. There is often no upward movement for them. If they ask for a raise, or argue about working conditions, the company can terminate the H1b contract and they are forced to move back to their origin country. It is an extremely large benefit to companies to hire on H1b than an actual employee.

All Elon has done with this little stunt he pulled is make people remember that H1-Bs exist and how much people hate them. He unironically did more damage to the H1-B programs than a dozen attack ads by Trump on it could. Especially with his tone deaf follow ups about americans not being up for the job and pajeets going all mask off to gloat.

Seriously 5 Star Post dude. You’re one of my favorite users to read.

I wonder how many kids today would even want to go to college for an engineering degree. We’re two years into the AI era and it seems very reasonable to assume upcoming AI will be able to fill out a CAD by itself. If that’s the plausible future how will engineering jobs not be on the chopping block?

I went in originally for an engineering degree, I was told "good luck". The woman next to me was in for the same and got completely pampered. Free ride +++. It's not even that kids these days dont want to, which I'm sure is more of a thing than it was 10 years ago, its that (white, male) engineering students aren't welcome and haven't been for some time.

The only vivek bumper sticker I ever saw was on a Tesla driven by an Indian.

I warned people that he may say the right things but he should never be in a position of power. Looks like myself and all others aware of the Indian problem were right. I'm just surprised at how quickly he went mask off.
Guys

Be patient with the foreigner, he doesn't know English very well.
He thought that "con man" and "conservative" were the same thing 💔

Once the H1B salary look up got out there the damage done to them has been incredible. Like totally destroyed beyond all belief and he is still coping about muh "high skill" nigger no Indians is "skilled" at anything besides lying to you.

I'll say that one of my favorite past times is just taking the piss out of Indians and making them seethe so this has been fantastic really. Go take a fucking shower Rajesh.

Bunch of tech retards swearing all the H1B are highly skilled high paying jobs then you post the government site showing some people getting paid 20k to be a 7-11 cashier :story: :story:

Elon slipping up while doing an interview as "Adrian" with DesTINY:

He said "the type of rocket fuel I'M using" instead of "the type of rocket fuel HE'S using"

Full video:
you know it's funny destiny was the one in 2018 threatening to murder people destiny just lies through his teeth I know he probably gets a check from progressive victory with a bullet point of his talking points for the month but seriously this man lies shamelessly I mean he lies more in the CNN reporter he makes CNN look like an honest journalistic outlet
