When someone is wrong, the first response is to double down. These words definitely have worked in board rooms and investor meetings. Elon, being a autistic galaxy brain, is saying it publicly. I would avoid excessive taxation attempts on workers sending their money they would just ship cash via DHL or use crypto fuckery shenanigans and really we don’t need the government to be encouraged to fuck with either of those.

A better solution would be a tax/fee on the employer for each foreign scab they employ. If Disney absolutely needs foreign labor they can pay Uncle Sam themselves. Elon can get his treasured Indian Engineer but they have to pay more.

What would companies be charged? However high it would need to be to the point that it would be more cost effective to hire American.

We tariff countries to make our goods competitive why would be not essentially tariff big business?

I’d like to point out that if Trump never won re-election with a non-consecutive term, X would never have this kind of spirited debate as to what America First should mean. It would be a thousand times worse if the opposition would get into the White House again, with even more vague reasonings as to why DEI and ESG not only takes out and fires white male workers, but also minorities that would get superseded and replaced by or at a rate of thousands on top of thousands of foreign born workers that will only stay for the benefits but go back to their own home countries when they usurp our American interests like it’s nothing.

In other words, it would be turning into this:

If anything, I don’t know what will come of this but I’m glad this debate is happening and I do hope Trump is aware of it to some extent. Without his leadership or any of the mandate that comes from it, you would get more subtle forms of censorship that would not stop the “progress” of wanting to be diverse in the tech/engineering sector.

We were allowed to work a number of hours as part of a school program starting in junior year, and even before that friends and I worked summers. It's not like the kids who used to do paper routes year round suffered.

The school system is working out very well, apparently.

Scott Adams has been VERY upset today too that H1B are being questioned and has been reply sperging non stop. Elon wants the banter and muh freeze peach back but making fun of "Indian-Americans" who literally cheered on the arrest of Assange is a no go.

It will be interesting to see how Musk reacts to Trump telling him "you get O-1 visas, no H1B." Trump has a lifetime in and out of politics of still dealing with people who might disagree with him 50+ % of the time but remain cordial. Musk's autism might take this 5% disagreement with Trump as being an absolute reeeeee moment where he lashes out well beyond any chance to rebound even though Trump's clearly been trying to make him not as much of a sperg.

To Elon this rebuttal is the most important day of his life. But to Trump, it was Tuesday.

Trump got a lot of support from Elon, and dropping his financial supporters cold turkey would be a bad precedent. But what he should do is have a meeting with Elon where he explains how exactly Elon fucked up and what he needs to do otherwise the people will force Trump to stop supporting Elon.
