foreigners pay full price out of state tuition with no grants or subsidies. the argument for international students back in the 2000s and 2010s was that tuition would be higher without international students paying full price. of course this falls apart once you look at federal student loans and the annual inflation of tuition contrasted with degree value.

Yup. We saw something early in GamerGate, when politics finally hit the fandom beyond just Nintendo vs Sega or Nintendo vs Playstation vs Xbox. Whole lot of people who were just completely dumbfounded to discover there were people out there who disagreed with them, often violently.

I mention this because the level of autism is about the same. The idea that people would object to infinity Pajeets was a complete black swan event to poor ol' Elon. After all, Infinity Pajeets is good for the line that always must go up. And doesn't everyone know that the Line that Must Always Go Up is literally one of the most important things in the world? Doesn't every American want to see the line that must always go up, go up, even if it means they're importing their own replacements to help it along?

How did Indians get involved into tech support? And why do companies hire them despite the common stigma of Internet scammers originating from India or some other backwater country?

This but more. Line go up is half of it. He was born into this. He isn't a mere ceo. He's always been rich and this is always how life has worked for him.
