How did Indians get involved into tech support? And why do companies hire them despite the common stigma of Internet scammers originating from India or some other backwater country?

Tech support is easily exportable, more indian learn and can speak passable english than other asian countries and they are cheap. Cheapness is the most important, since tech support is a net drain on profit.

Obliviously it is way way cheaper to have Rasmit and Sanjay handle your credit card issue rather than some American wagey. Got no idea how well Chase bank pays Indians but you gotta hope it’s decent enough that they stay trustworthy.

I think Legit Indian Call Centers predated Phone Scammers but whatever the case is Indian Phone Scammers didn’t hit the epidemic nussiace until fairly recent. I abuse those fuckers all the time with glee. I find it so funny when they start yelling back at me.

So a bunch of companies had the realization that they could have a million of the fucking monkeys asking "is it turned on saar", and before you knew it you had a billion of these fucking monkeys who now have lists of American consumers and know how to do call center shit, and then some of the brighter ones realized that they could run call centers to "solve problems" that don't exist and get paid far more for it.

It's not that he doesn't know what poor is. He just he has never lived it. It's why he cares about the percentage points more than people. At least how it plays out IRL. He likely thinks he is doing all this for the greater good.

Most people assume fluent means speaks like a native. Fluent simply means I don't have to consult a dictionary to have a discussion with you. Secondly the people you are talking about learned English so that they could talk to you the street shitters learned English so they could speak with each other. But that's kind of the point: if you want to go to the Moon, you're gonna need engineers and technicians.
