Say he did get the store. How would he run it? I know he would get rid of all microsoft products and most likely only order shit he personally liked to stock...so basically a bunch of shit almost nobody would want. I feel sure any ads or signs for it would end with a plea for sex. I think he would have a rule or system in place to separate male and female customers but what it would be eludes me.Well after the grievous emotional and physical harm that Mikes trap caused Chrissy, he was expecting at least a million dollar settlement. After all he was an upstanding citizen and former Gym Leader! This should have been obvious to any impartial judge right?
But knowing his curse was slowly destroying the Game Place and that Mike didn't have the money to club up he was generously willing to take possession of the store and wave all other damages.
Sadly the judge turned out to be in the pay of one Clyde Cash and so Chrissy was subject to a travesty of justice and in stead of Mike being sent to jail and paying Chrissy for all his mental anguish it ended up with Chrissy being fined and Mike walking away.
Truly justice was absent in that courtroom.
I can never keep track of what details I've mentioned before and what I haven't. So, right now, I guess I'll say that he reacted to it like any person would react to the sudden (as Chris viewed it) death of someone they were very close to. And really, Chris was a lot closer to his father than most people his age would be. It was typical mourning: sobbing, the person in question dominating their thoughts all the time, etc.
Chris expected to get off from the charges, and for some crazy reason, he also expected to be awarded the Game Place. He never justified why he thought that.
The most simplistic answer i can come up with is how people say "he should own that place" when they discuss lawsuits.
Empathy's got nothing to do with it. It's not like he's sorry for Bob because being dead must suck.
Maybe because he never seemed to appreciate him when he was alive, and during his final months, seemed uninterested in his condition.
Chris thought he'd still have Bob for a long, long time. He didn't pay attention to his condition because it would be impossible for it to kill him, so he'd just wait 'til he'd be cured of it and talk to him then. Kinda the same thing with not appreciating him while he was alive. Bob would always be around, so what's the hurry?
I'm sure any weens who probably asked him to review the comic probably told him some details about Chris, and maybe said some A-loggy stuff about how pathetic he was.
