Not everyone can do complex math well. Anecdotally, I am left handed (most of us are either retards at math or autistic geniuses in it) and I have dyscalcula for example. The notion that people who do poorly in math cannot be skilled workers in other areas is bullshit.
Everyone has their place in society and their own skillsets. The kids that are good in math need better specialized education in it, but don't set the bar so fucking high you leave everyone behind.
In 5th grade, my school did an evil experiment where they made my nerdy short ass the only White Anglo boy in my class and math was done in Spanish more than half the time so I was fucked. It wasn't like there was a shortage of White kids in my graduating class, they did that crap on purpose. The only Black girl in the class was like my Rasputia protectress against their wetback bullying.
On a better example, my 8th grade graduating class was divided in three teams and a single team shared the same 5 teachers. My team was the "gifted" one and everyone in it except one class, mine, had to take pre-algebra. My class took contemporary math. We were smart but bad at math.
America doesn't just have a math problem for our kids. We need to teach ethics, factual psychology, non-pozzed history, information searching, agriculture, biology, home economy, and physiology earlier.
Math autists educators need to make chemistry, physics, computer science, architectural engineering, and economics more real world applicable to those who can potentially excell in it. First you need a good base in it and that's when we should be focusing in elementary too.

There is general purpose laboratory equipment that’s so advanced it literally can’t be exported outside America without handicapping. That’s not even getting into specialized military equipment. You aren’t anywhere near qualified to talk about this.
If you include Taiwan, then you might be able to argue that China is ahead of America technologically in semiconductors (ONE technology), but that would be bullshit because none of that has to do with the mainland.

I think the biggest thing is that the moment America accepts that India has a caste system for a reason, it will begin to understand that it's own people needs to be divided by caste, and that will undo decades of liberal pipedream progressiveness work that are currently backfiring.
The laboratory equipment means nothing if it's restricted to experimental or small production. China may not have a lab with an experimantal carbon nanotube cpu, but it has factories that produce nearly all goods sold in North America. If you look around your room at least half the stuff in it will either be made in china or be made with chinese components.
