It's amazing how short memories can be. I know 8 years is a long time, but surely people must remember that this is, almost to the letter, the sort of sperging that happened last time the Don was elected. Musk cosying up to Trump, work visas, indians appointed to cabinet positions, Trump wanting highly educated immigrants, all of it was there. Then Orange Bad Man's state department began refusing more H1Bs than any previous administration in history, Musk ran off to cry because daddy T was mean to him, and everyone lost their fucking minds.

I predict a repeat.

This is what is going to happen. Trump alone can't end the H1B program. That is Congress's job. He can control it. Affect it. Make it far less viable as a immigration cheat code.

Honestly, if Trump does that, he would just be using hiring manager techniques parasites use against the parasites lol. You know you have a potential (or likely to be H1B filled) job position when it opens with:

• Must have 5-10 years experience in (insert software, job sector, qualifications here)
• Masters degree required
• Entry level
• Starting pay is $80K

No one in their right mind wants this kind of job, and the few that do apply are never “qualified” enough. This then gives the hiring managers an out and allows them to get an H1B to do this same position for $40K a year (with the H1B likely lying about experience and education).

By Trump severely limiting H1B (due to lack of “highly skilled” candidates), he’s essentially using the same con against these types by claiming no foreigner could do the job as well as a native citizen. Granted, I’m still curious about his plan for the second term, but if this severely cuts into the H1B scam by saying no one is qualified, it could put a severe enough dent in it that the program becomes unnecessary (it already is, but corporate is too addicted to cheap labor).

The issue lies in what they produce. Indian paper mills are about as far as a stone’s throw from Chinese ones. If they make a product that works and isn’t complete shit? Good let them have a 01-A application review if they’re not a complete fraud. The problem lies in what type of visa it is. We need to be removing all h-1b. It needs to go. The fact that they’re even asking for it insinuates the number they’ll be importing Jeets as a Service will likely be over 100 per month and at a worst case over 1,000 to fill jobs that undercut actual native American workers regardless of race. The system is designed for governments to abuse and leech off the public investment of the people through their tax dollars which then circle back to funneling it out through paying back their families that flows up to nations that hate us and use these systems to undermine. I’ve worked with 01-A Indians/Africans/Asians and they range from slightly autistic to just regular people that left their country completely and renounced citizenship just to do things like teach or solve autistic problems nobody cares about all day. They have no ties to their foreign allegiances because often times their nation wants them and their families dead.
