So I had this exact question when writing a thread on someone who does use the forum, and this is what I've been told. 'Halal' refers to when a thread is made on an existing Kiwi Farms member due to their activity on the forum. It's not a halal thread unless the thread is a consequence of their activity on the forum. A great example of this would be Gordon Paille or Nikolas Talbott, both of who were only discovered due to their activity on the farms.

So no, Tinky Timmy is not a halal thread.

Homegrown would be a better label/tag imo. I also was scratching my head at what made a thread Halal. My only clue was they were all usually started by people for PA requests in the threads I had seen. So I thought it was related to that.

They're usually PA requests, but the prime factor is that they need to have been discovered due to their activity on Kiwi Farms. It is usually a PA request that will get someone to look into them.
