WhatifAltHist / Rudyard Lynch - History youtuber, galaxy brained, no credentials and no sex

Those are definitely bots paid for by The Natural Law Institute.
Funny moment when someone reuploaded Rud's three videos to the Chube and Curt Doolittle told them to take it down (they didn't of course):

Curt's a whole lolcow by himself, of course, if only his twitter feed was actually readable and not written in self-invented gobbledygook

Do people here genuinely hate Rudyard or is this some new sort of high level trolling I'm not accustomed to?

In my opinion Rudyards old videos where he tried to predict civil wars and ww3 were obviously wrong and a bit cringe inducing but compared to the swarms of grifters out there at least he's made an effort to improve his videos since then, also his new hot takes are a lot more grounded in reality than the ones promoted by breadtube freaks like Vaush and Philosophy Tube. So basically he's ok in my book

I enjoyed his videos years ago about nonsense alt history as a time waster. When he started getting into geopolitics I quit being interested because I didn't care to listen to some 20 year old who has read 4 dense books parrot the ideas as his own. Years later I find this. It isn't hatred, its just fascinating to see how this guy has turned out. I don't hate him at all, im driving past a bad car accident while slowing down staring.

The general consensus, I think, is he has ideas and aspersions above his station and is also currently in a (probably drug induced, maybe has triggered latent schizophrenia) mental health crisis.

Man when I clicked on this thread to catch up with my second favorite civil war predictor (after Dim Fool) the last thing I expected was for him to have had a complete schizo meltdown. I implore you kiwis, if you have ANY sign of a psychotic illness, stay the fuck away from psychedelic drugs, Rudyard isn't the first and he won't be the last.

It's neither. Rudyard is just an interesting man to talk about like most people of interest, a guy who is funny unintentionally and interesting beyond his channel content. Up until the manic 3 part video of him going off the rails, he's been a mildly interesting guy to talk about beyond his videos.

I checked your post history - this seems to be your first post in a lolcow related board. This site is dedicated to gossiping about any internet figure, big or small, far left to far right and everyone im between or off the spectrum. He is just an interesting guy to chat about and that's why he has a thread.

Most people in the thread seem to think he's ok, some even are closer to his politics. Hell, some people have critiqued him for "disguising" himself as a dissident right when he keeps simping for socialists institutions. The main critiques of him so far seem to be that he can reiterate what he reads but he cannot come up with ideas on his own, he wants to be seen as a great philosopher and very smart but he sadly isn't as good as he wants to be and says some stupid stuff, his ego is fragile and he reacts badly to critique, his takes can be something people agree with but then he makes a bad leap of logic, and he kicked his brain down the stairs of insanity by taking hard psychedelics.

You should read bits of the thread or the thread highlights, you'll see some are former fans or fans who wish he went back to his old, less doomer content. You'll also see people critique his sources, and not all of them are leftists. I'm an oddball because I like reading about him without watching his videos, but I am cheering for him to grow past his weak ego and for him to now get outside mental health help.

No most of us find his takes stupid at best, schizobabble at worst.

I went through the thread from where I left off (page 40) and it has been a trip. My main thing is feeling terrible for Rudy as he fucked himself over with drug use, and now his family have to step in. I'm very sad, I like my lolcows not plagued by actual medical conditions and stuff like this is annightmare for both him and his loved ones to deal with. He's not a pedo, scammer, violent thug, or a-log worthy, he's just a dude who's got the minor lolcow in him. Thanks to the people who posted this in community happenings for me to check up on.

One thing that fascinates me is how much he denies having autism. I will now proceed to post about his literal autism and arguments for him being on the spectrum. Other posters have made some good cases, I'm just summing it up as we dive head first into the mental illness saga.
Arguments for his autism:
  • Self centered view, many anecdotes from his perspective, has a harder time conceptualizing experiences outside his own
  • Able to regurgitate large amounts of knowledge about specific subjects (sadly he can't make good logical leaps on his own)
  • Stubborn, refuses to move on from ideas even if proven false
  • Good at pattern recognition, can notice them even if only connected by very faint connections
  • Handles rejection poorly
  • Gullible, trusts his friends implictly without question
  • Evidently "masking", as in pretending to be more normal and less autistic.rud crashout 1.JPG
  • Asks girls about their insecurities on a first date, ignorant of social etiquette that is not in his immediate sphere.
  • I get the feeling Rudy has a hard time making friends IRL and has some social anxiety, thus the life on the net. Social anxiety is a common part of autism, but of course can be a stand alone condition. His lack of close friends and harder time to maintain connections also point towards socially maladapted. Both could be their own thing but bundled with the traits above it seems to point closer to autism.
  • A common misconception is that autistics don't show any empathy. In fact, autistics can show great empathy depending on what type it is and if they are able to recognize the emotion, to the point they can get overwhelmed by it. Rudyard called himself an empath when refuting the autism accusations, and I think he probably experienced overwhelming empathy and feelings due to this.
Thank you for listening to my essay on autism. Feel free to correct me or add on.
Late reply, but:
“Idea. Make a church for based men. We study esoteric passages in the Bible, have philosophic discussions about the nature of God, do forgotten mystic rituals, use the gateway protocol to commune with the spirit world. We meditate and study Aquinas. We drink and party a lot.”
Rudy really needed and needs IRL friends. Right now he needs someone to tard wrangle him away from psychedelics, but I think he could have found more meaning and friendship in a lodge type group. Structure, fun rituals, history, casual partying with bros... it's a shame.

I really can't stand these newer NGO sites that have NO information such as address, contact person, etc... it's creepy as fuck. https://naturallawinstitute.com/about-us/
When I look up the Youtube channel, it's clear they promote occultism somehow, as they specifically bash "Abrahamic religions". Usually atheist people just won't touch the topic, or will provide help for those who've been traumatized by religious abuse.. these people specifically want to ATTACK traditional Christianity, and then promote occult/Crowley ideology in it's place.
I presume it's to help promote transhumanism, as Christianity has traditionally been against any medical treatments that violate "sanctity of the human body", and practices such as euthanasia and eugenics.. things which the tech bro overlords desperately want to normalize and force on the "NPCs".
Note this comment under the "Abrahamism: A Method of Deceit- Curt Doolittle". THIS is something I notice with these "Natural Law" types. They want sexual slavery for females. They believe women and girls who don't give sex on demand are "evil", and that Christianity is a tool used by "evil feminism". They also promote harems and the breeding of preteen girls. I've seen similar arguments pushed by Mark Passio... Natural Law is about sexual slavery of females (that's the lure, I suppose), promoting gay sex magick, and giving tech bros total power and control over poor "NPCs".
These groups clearly glamorize Ancient Rome and Greece, which were known for promoting lots and lots of gay sex and pederasty... they don't specifically mention that fact, however. I'm sure Rudy has had some quasi-consensual "experiences" with "shamanism" and "opening the third eye"... but he'd probably claim that it's "not gay", but some kind of "shamanistic holy rite".

the most reliable person to find out if any of this is true is probably his sister.
I wonder if people are contacting her about her brother right now. I wouldn't be surprised, but I also would understand if she couldn't do much or if she doesn't talk to internet randos. I don't think she will specifically ever sign up here but someone might be able to interview her a bit depending on how open the family is about their problems. Even then, I rather leave anyone related to him alone aside from telling them he's been on hard psychedelics and is experiencing long term damage with them, and has access to firearms.

Okay, I find some of the stuff you're talking about as weird and bizarre and admit like most others in this thread that you are better off creating your own thread for this... but you may be unto something. I decided to check out the website, and not only does it not have elementary information like address, it also seems to be profoundly unfinished.

Vast majority of the site is filled with placeholders, even certain donation links are empty....

Since this site has no address and doesn't have a clear author, I got to ask, how the hell did you find this? It doesn't seem like something meant to be available to the public yet.

The YouTube channel has more info... names and faces... Same "black swan" logo.

This reminds me of a similar German website I've seen that's all about "anarchy" and "dismantling the government". Obviously funded by rich tech bros.. https://kininigen.space/

It looks as if "Natural Law Institute" is some kind of monarchist organization, too?

I don't have any personal dislike towards the lad, he's not done anything to me and in the grand scheme of things the one he's done the most harm to with all this is himself. He's also still very young and even for his age is evidently lacking a lot of important life experience, as his world view still seems to revolve entirely around Paradox map games and history books, and that's to say nothing about the autism and, now likely, schizophrenia. So I do understand why he's gone crazy, and I would genuinely wish him the best in getting his shit back together.

But having said all that I'm still going to laugh when a sperg melts his grey matter on a whim just to put out a ten hour schizo rant filled with incest rape, gnostic zoomer God, and claims of divinity. I couldn't care less that he's nominally on 'my side' in the culture war, that shit's fucking hilarious, and if it was Vaush putting out a ten hour rant about how he met tranny Karl Marx on an acid trip and that his dad made him fuck horses when he was a little boy, then you'd be laughing at it too.

Whatifalthist joking or not seems to either have gone some sort of esoteric belief rabbit hole, a very strange drug trip or has some kind of undiagnosed mental illness. Maybe it's a combination of all three.

He seems like someone who likes attention and validation though so if news came out he was somehow getting his beliefs from somewhere else or advancing a particular agenda it wouldn't be all that surprising. While his claims about sexual assault cannot be ruled out entirely remember Lynch is not above using hyperbole for things.

He's young and what he said was harmless though it was and still is insane. I hope he gets back down from having his head in the clouds and can see the absurdity of what he is claiming but do not be shocked if things get even more strange. Just earlier this year before we got to this point he was making videos with titles like "Did the CIA Discover the Spirit World?", "The Coming Incel Revolution", "A Message To Young Men" and "Explaining Ancient Forbidden Teachings". Perhaps those were just signs of what is to come or maybe it's a phase. His current behavior to a degree should at the very least be concerning to anyone watching him.

Okay, I see what type of audience this channel is for

But damn, they're not even hiding it, they're favoriting these comments.

also... who the fuck would buy this as a shirt? Why would a mere 5k sub channel even have merch? The channel is 10 years old, has a mere 5k subs and is selling merch? This is so confusing.

Yeah, please @FeatherPlucker make a separate thread on this and tell us when you do. If enough people look into this, we may uncover something.

But the question remains... why is this NGO interested in having Rudyard's reputation intact after all of this? It sounds kind of obvious initially but... why comment on Rudyard's videos specifically out of hundreds of other occult right-wing content? Didn't Rudyard express multiple times that he is a Christian?
