Chad has slow nights. You also have guys who don't mind spearing a whale. Fat women are often seen as "practice girls". As far as actual dating goes, fat women aren't more successful at dating. They just insist those guys that are occasionally banging them are actually dating them because they think/convince themselves that sex means dating. If you ask the guy, they are not dating. Those chicks are not getting brought home to mom. They are not meeting the guy's friends. If you saw him in public, you're a perfect stranger. They don't understand that sometimes attractive guys will use them as sex toys and they think they can wear him down into a relationship if they bang him enough. That is not true.
Women don't understand the concept of if you're giving it up to me for free, if I have options, I'm going to use until you either stand up for yourself or it becomes inconvenient for me, or I find someone better that I actually want to date, and I will say whatever you want to hear to keep it going. In reality, you (the fat chick) can be on a list of 7-10 women an attractive guy will have on rotation for when he feels like getting his dick wet. If you're fat and ugly, you're on the bottom of that list and he's using you as a toy. I don't know why but this concept is completely lost on women. You can tell this to them and they still don't get it. I'm not saying it's right, but it happens, and no matter how much you explain it to them, it doesn't sink in.
