I think that's an unfair characterisation. I don't want to work 90 hours a week, but I also dislike government power and I think the government in general is a giant parasite that sucks productivity from the private sector. Whether through departments or bureaucrats or NGOs, it's a net drain on the economy.
You will always have them. And if not them, you'll have mafias, religious organizations, or other self-appointed authorities stepping in the power vacuum.

This really is retarded thinking. It all comes down to what you can get from people before they exhaust and break. From a workplace point of view we want to work you to as close to exhaustion as is feasible without tipping people over. Mining is a good example of that, we will work people 4 weeks on, and 4 weeks off. First two weeks of 12 hours during the day, then two weeks of night shift (effectively giving people a 24 hour break in between) and then 4 weeks off. Company pays for the travel (fly in/fly out), miners get paid really well, and also paid 4 hours overtime each day (which is 1.75 per hour rate) with paid for break times that are strictly adhered to. Throw in sleeping quarters meals and washing are done for people whilst on the mine site it means peak exploiting the work up until it is unsafe. On top of this you still get 6 weeks paid leave./ Office workplaces have worked out the 40 hour work week is just as productive, as it gets a minimum amount of work out of people before fatigue sets in, and it allows the particularly motivated to take those extra hours of overtime to sure up deficiencies (the overtime bonus being the carrot).
