I'll preface this with the fact that it is extremely understandable that Jim has largely withdrawn from public life and streams very sporadically, given his medical conditions. That said, because he streams so sporadically, he relies on getting a lot of superchats for every stream he does do. Part and parcel with this, whether it is done by intent or simply is an unavoidable part of the process, is that he has to impugn a sense of good feels in his audience between streams and make sure the superchatters get their money's worth to encourage new superchatters and get current ones to continue to donate. Not every superchatter is an extreme paypig, but extreme paypigs come with the territory. He clearly maintains some level of back channel communication with at least some of his archivers, as the Purity Sin dono would indicate, if only to give them some sense of being appreciated. The Purity Sin dono is especially bad considering what kind of content she makes. It's bad.
