"Adrian" is live.

Laura is there grilling a female Xitter employee. Well I wouldn't say grilling. She's just spilling spaghetti over Laura asking her basic questions like one about her employment and what she does at Xitter.
Whoever this bitch is

That’s utterly retarded and done for clicks. Regen braking is good for track driving as it reduces heat in the friction brakes and recharges the battery. All hybrid and electric race cars have regen braking.

They’re driving laps around an oval, which is nothing more than a glorified top speed run. They also did 12 laps, not three and the car is the short range version. Doesn’t bode well for highway driving out west though.

The car sucks for performance driving, but you don’t have to misrepresent it and fall for YouTube clickbait when the truth is still terrible.

I don't know the number of laps, I thought they did 3 but then it cuts and he says 18 miles and 3 laps should only be about 5. Even so 12 laps of a 1.5 mile oval is a pathetic range. A track day is like $600 and you are blowing your wad in 20 minutes, no second outing, still bringing a trailer... the guy with the Miata or the BRZ or the V8 had a full day and is driving home.

I agree that the EV is being set up to fail but it has little to do with the brakes and everything to do with the back EMF because it is a speed run. It's not a highly technical course, there are no hairpins or 2nd gear turns. There should be very little braking. I suspect they don't want the regen on because when you are in the rain, on a high speed bank the last thing you want is the regen to upset the cars balance unexpectedly... and it's a consumer car, not a cutting edge, track calibrated, fine tuned system monitored from the pits.

It's not ove ELON! Sam Hyde is PISSED!

Unironically the best thing I have seen from Sam since he wore the plastic breastplate.

outside of super cars they are all geared too short (because they aren't geared at all) to reach top end track speeds
....cos they are mostly not track cars. They have to be geared short enough to go up a steep hill while fully laden and the types of electric motor used in EVs are more efficient towards the top end of their rev range so short gearing improves the battery range.
On the road you have a lot more opportunity to use the acceleration of your car than its top speed so the average owner is unlikely to notice that their car's top speed has been kneecapped. Unless they buy a Dacia Spring which has neither acceleration nor top speed performance.
