What if this is Nick's "big brained" plan to deal with Kayla & any impending divorce? She'll try to get money out of him to support herself & the kids (assuming she even tries to get primary custody of 'em, that is), and he'll try to point to his losing the house in order to nip that in the bud... Hell, it's a stupid plan, but it'd be on par for Nick, so I wouldn't put it past him...

Then again, that'd credit him with actual pre-planning of this sort o' thing, so that kinda throws all of that out the window...

Josh should buy the Balldo Bunker. It’s not even that expensive. (Honestly I cant believe how cheap it is).

We could probably raise that much in a month or two through donations and make it like the Owen Benjamin thing where we all get some vacation time there and get to camp out in his yard.

TBH, I think it was intentional. He found a way to take 300k out of the trust that gives him an allowance. He doesn't care about fucking over his trust.

Not necessarily. According to the foreclosure documents, the house isn't owned by Rekieta. It's owned by the Robert Lord Trust. How the Trust is set up will depend very much on whether or not it is subject to bankruptcy protection. For example, who are the trustees? Is it just Rekieta? Or is it the rest of his family? If it's the latter they may have told Rackets to pound sand because if Rackets can't pay, the Creditors can go after them. So the house will be foreclosed and sold.

Is this kind of thing basically a fire sale auction?

If so, is there anything that precludes his dad just buying the house at auction? Would it even make sense given the amount outstanding and current real estate conditions?

If it's a low demand area it could actually make sense to just snipe the auction and hope to get it for way less.
