From what I've seen...people reverse mortgage their home when they are too old to work and literally have no money. They die and then bank gets the house.

wut. Dude makes videos online and is in his 40s. you can't touch retirement investment accounts until like 60.
A reverse mortgage is not the same thing as getting a new mortgage on a property you fully own, re-mortgaging a property. or getting an equity loan.

This is a really funny time to point out that Nick paid $60k on a shit painting of the Joker when he could have put that cash aside to pay his mortgage instead.
Usually, large art purchases are a means to dodge taxes. They even have sections of airports where valuable art is stored so it never enters a taxable district of any kind. The nuances of the practice are out there for anyone to find, I don't want to state something incorrectly. It's POSSIBLE (albeit unlikely insofar as he has done everything else the wrong way) that a competent money manager/accountant advised him on how to use art purchases to reduce his tax liability in a high earning year, but more likely he figured he knew better than any accountant and goofed the execution of the tax dodge in a spectacular way. His "high end" art purchases were probably some combination of a plan to dodge taxes and invest by way of artwork. In any case, whatever he intended to do, you know the opposite happened.

What the fuck.
I knew "le there are two sides of me I'm the joker so edgy" people were cringe as fuck, especially with tattoos and car decals but this is just disgusting.

I can't believe someone can be this retarded without actually being mentally handicapped. I've known people with down syndrome with better life skills.
Downies tend to do the best with what they're given because they have no other choice.

Nick voluntarily made himself retarded with alcohol and drugs and even though we can't say for sure without an MRI of what's left of his brain, I think it's safe to say that however smart he might have been before YouTube, he is definitely no longer playing with a full deck, mentally.

OT: Happy new year when it comes Nick. I feel like 2025 is gonna be the one for you, big guy.

Wait, did he really spend 60 grand on that thing? I just assumed it was something a fan sent him or that he got for... I don't know... a hundo at one of those tattoo shows he goes to.

Shit Nick, I'll raise my offer to $75.

He really should apologize to DSP for mocking his bankruptcy scam. The difference between Phil and Nick, is Phil only lost one of his properties and kept the house he currently resides in. Nick somehow lost both. Yeah I'm saying it; DarkSydePhil is more fiscally responsible than Nick Rekieta of Rekieta Law, a small law firm in Central Minnesota.
The difference is also that DSP of all people proactively planned to ditch one property and keep the others. He publicly announced he was going to stop payments. People gave him a lot of shit but he did actually get through his bankruptcy and ditch a money losing property that was deep underwater. The fact he didn't learn anything from it... Well that's DSP.

I'm pretty sure rackets didn't plan any of this.

Surely there have been letters and warnings sent? How does something like this even come to pass with two adults presumably checking the mail at least once in a while?

Repossession and foreclosures are a really good genre of TV, in the UK we have Oi, m8 u aven't paid ur rent. It's a bit like a sick version of storage wars - homeowners pay thousands to see what damage some nitty has done to their house while living there without paying rent.

If Nick is the narcissistic control freak he seems to be, I doubt Kayla has much say over the family finances - she probably thinks Nick is dealing with everything. It appears, based on a quick google search so I could be completely wrong, that there is a period of up to 6 months after the foreclosure for people to reclaim their property. This could very well be Nick playing what he thinks is some 4D chess game of chicken against the bank, where he will end up even further out of pocket when he inevitably has to pay plus interest to end the process.

Yep, he walked into a physical building, saw it hanging with a price tag, and decided to buy it instead of paying his mortgage.

DSP, unlike Jim and Rackets, can actually do some cursory research on how to best absorb the impact of his financial crashes. Connecticut just vastly outperforms Minnesota when it comes to debt maxxing. Minnesota e-celebs blown out of the water again.

BMJ gonna have to rename himself to Mid-Boss at this rate.
Broke-Boss suits him more .... or Broke-Ass-Nigga.

WAIT, IS THE MAIN BALLDO BUNKER IN FORECLOSURE???
(Or did he just not pay a few bills? Or both?)
I think I may have stumbled onto something...
If one has time to "Explain to me like I'm Five," reverse mortgage means he used his home as collateral like what dumb old people did in the early 2000s?

Sorry, spend my money wisely so it makes zero fucking sense to me. From what I found [ spoiler ] , did he get scammed like a fucking grandma?
