Emily makes a very important slip up. "Why would I lie to you when I don't even know you in real life?" This statement implies she is perfectly comfortable with lying to people she knows and has met in real life. People such as her therapist, her doctors, and a few other special people she has met.

Can you guess what people I'm talking about? Here's a hint. She's met them at least twice when they were investigating her for Kirstin's murder. Yes, that's right! Emily has met the police in real life and knows them. Emily has stayed that she lies to people she's met and knows I'm real life. Therefore it does not take a leap of logic to conclude that Emily lied to the police. She basically admitted to it.

Emily has been coming here daily for years at this point. We are the closest thing she has to friends. That means she would feel perfectly fine lying to us. She also thinks we are all her mom or stepdad or Lamby or other people she knows. If she thinks we are people she knows and she only lies to non-strangers, this must mean she is lying to us.
