The big trouble is the risk of losing another Supreme Court seat. When it comes to elections, the two party system will always eventually result in people getting pissed off enough at those in charge to elect the other guys.
It's the USSC most of all, Sotomayor is iffy, Thomas and and Alito are old. I'd expect one of those 3 at least to get replaced by 2028. In the end things will balance back in the USA system.

I wish the NRA would take on national AWB bans and suppressor issues now,, but as always the big shifts are rare.

Okay, no seriously, can I ask a question?

Why do so many of you guys think the Dems are basically finished?

If anything Kamala's performance shows they just fell for their usual trap of calling total victory by demographic replacement just before they had it. A near-literal empty suit got 48% of the vote, and at the end of the day they only needed a few more percentage points in several states.

Many congressional races were still basically stolen.

So I ask again: which party is actually in trouble here? The Dems ran basically the worst campaign possible and were still extremely competitive. Meanwhile, Trump cannot run again.
Oh, both parties are in bad shape, but the right is actually being actively reformed by a new leader putting them into shape to actually, you know, be competitive. National Populism is something neither party has done in decades and it goes directly counter to Kleptocratic Globalist Tech Oligarchy.

The left is only being saved because of a psyop they ran back during the Clinton1 Era: "Vote Blue No Matter Who." The idea being, of course, that you don't vote for people you vote for party and you always vote, always, no matter what the party shits out in front of you.

Between Obama destroying the party out of stupidity and Clinton destroying the party because it was her turn and then Biden being brain dead and letting the Obama and Clinton and True Believer and MIC and TechBro and.... factions all tear the party apart from the inside and then Kamala having the Theater Kids faction take charge and waste 1.5 billion dollars on Call Me Daddy and Twerking sheboons, they're in a far, far worse place.

To wit, and it's always the same question: Who exactly can the left run in 2028? Their current frontrunner is unironically Kamala Harris, with the follow up being Gavin Newsom under the "AWFL panties get wet, a candidate you need not vet" theory of politics.

The Democrats are trying really hard to adopt parliamentary strategies: "vote for the party, not who we pick as the candidate." Say whatever you want about the GOP, but they hold primaries.

Not to mention 1984 was a far worse blowout for the Dems, and they came back big in 1992. The Republicans have absolutely no agenda at all. None. They're still not on board with running the state on behalf of its citizens. They'd rather fight a proxy war in Ukraine and give handouts to NGOs.

We're in an unusual situation on this time when we knew early on the GOP would run Trump again. Usually it's the incumbent or someone out of the blue. Who woulda guess it would be Kamala this time? If anyone brought her up as an option in 2020 they'd be laughed out of the room.

I don't think it'll be Newsom. The dem field is weak. You hear Whitmer and a few others passed around, but I expect another nobody like Harris next time that'll lose hard.

Nah, I think it's more that voters swing back and forth. The only times we've seen one party control the White House three terms in a row since WWII were Nixon-Ford and then Reagan-GHWB. Two Clinton terms, two GWB terms, two Obama terms... the pendulum swings the other mmmway.

I point out it's not like the Rep field is strong either.

You have Vance and who else? A sizeable chunk of the GOP is civic nationalists who are willing to betray the citizens to suck the curry from H1B cock. And even Vance is iffy on that because of his wife, memes aside.
Vivek, maybe.. Still, unless he digs in.

Vance for sure, and Tulsi. The GOP field is pretty good overall compared to the dems now. You still have DeSantis and Abbot back there.

Yah American's and Westerner's in general have a really fucked up view on death.

It's perfectly ok to bomb the shit out of some "terrorists" well knowing that at least 50% of those bombs will be killing women and children who have shit to do with what ever current event is happening.

But put a face on that death. Like a name and a picture of a criminal and suddenly they are all like life affirming moral citizens.

Really Americans are fine with abstract death of sandniggers and brown people. They won't bat an eye at the news of a airstrike gone wrong killing 20 children. They shrug and say oh well, war is war.

But Mr Tyrone Washington, who shot and killed 3 people over the weekend in a drug fuelled robbery spree is completely different. He need's to be protected and sheltered for life at the cost of the taxpayer because his death is morally repugnant...somehow.

TLDR: Yankee's be all fucked up in the head when it comes to the death penalty but not to killing lots of people with bombs and gas and fire from above.

New idea, we enact a judge dredd style crime policy, you steal? Dead. You kill? Dead. You causing a public disturbance? Dead.

You think Vivek still has a shot at ever being president now? I'd say Elon has a higher chance of being president, and that literally isn't even possible.

It's more a projection of each parties future. The Republicans are being rebuilt under Trump and are doing a better job of listening to what people want. The Democrats are refusing to acknowledge their failures and are burning up their resources for little to no gains.
Yes, Harris got 48% of the vote. That was with a media throwing their entire weight behind her with the power they had left, and basically swindling their supporters and donors. Trump winning proves that the media doesn't hold the power they used to, and they are slowly bending the knee and trying to be more neutral to avoid defamation lawsuits. The midterms don't happen until after two years of Trump rule, and if he visibly and clearly makes life better then the Democrats will lose even more seats in that election.

And that's ignoring that the Democrats are basically split between the ones that want to go full throttle on destructive policies and the ones that realize that they may literally face a firing squad once people start waking up to the damage they have caused, and the hard fights for little gains have been making their crimes more noticeable.

Vivek knows how to say the right words. The slimiest of pajeets.
Everybody already forgot him doing that "nobody is above the law" thing over Trump's potential imprisonment. I blame the groypers for that since they made the most noise about how based he was and seethed at JD Vance getting picked for VP.
