New Orleans: Multiple people dead on Bourbon Street as 'car ploughs through crowd'​

Reports suggested a vehicle had driven through a crowd on New Orleans' extremely popular Bourbon Street, killing multiple people.​

Multiple people have allegedly been killed after a vehicle ploughed through a crowd of revellers on New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street in the US, according to local media and eyewitnesses.

New Orleans Police Department said that a lorry may have run down the group on the street, which is in the Louisiana city's French Quarter.

Witnesses speaking to CBS News claimed that a vehicle crashed into a crowd at high speed, and then the driver got out and started firing a weapon, with police returning fire.

It was unknown how many people have been killed or injured, but unconfirmed reports on social media claimed it is a "mass casualty" incident.

The incident allegedly occurred around 3.15am local time at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville.

In a post on X, a journalist at local news outlet WGNO-TV wrote: "NOPD source states that as many as 10 fatalities after driver in pickup truck plowed into crowd on Bourbon Street.

"Multiple more injuries. Mayor and police chief on scene," he added, though this has not yet been confirmed.

it used to be that the dmv would show the owner but Im having no such luck now.
 
I don't really think this is your average dumb nigga hood attack because they usually don't multitask like that (both a ramming attack and a gun-the most they would do is a drive by, and certainly not with a long gun). We do need to think about the possibility that this is a copycat attack of what happened in Germany. In that case, it could either be a hardcore zionist who read the perp's twitter feed and got inspired, a muslim, or a shithead nazi who wanted to "get revenge" for it. Remember, Christchurch happened for much less. Also what we should probably look into is what was on the black flag on the back of his truck-it kind of looks like an ISIS flag but the pattern doesn't match so I doubt it is. You can see a grey blotch on the back that is probably white lettering on the front.

Now, why is it knotted? There’s two possibilities. One is that the guy did it himself before he drove the Truck of Peace towards Bourbon, so he was less obvious, with the intention of untying it before he went on a full on jihadi rampage. This didn’t happen because he was approached by a cop (as has been suggested) and had to get started slightly earlier than planned.
The other, depending on what, if any, other footage surfaces, is that he was flying the flag and the knotting was done after the event. Move along, nothing to see here etc.
Personally, I favour the former, though we might never find out, depending on how much gets shuffled under the rug.

In the brief video taken just as the murderer was starting to fire at police the flag was still folded.

So an Alan Snackbar and a truck of peace, as plenty guessed, inc myself. Part and parcel as a Moslem Mayor of London once said. I wonder if the terr was a H1B? If that's the case and given the incoming and outgoing Administrations, any bit of info like that will take a long time to come out, if ever.

I think the feds changed to “investigating it as an act of terror” (note- investigating not directly calling it an act of terror), because their PR team told them that denying it was terrorism related was making them look like idiots after police reported the IEDs found, and people saw the flag and recorded the guy shooting at police.

somebody on twitter was comparing the furled flag with the ISIS flag, and the only piece of info we have about the furled flag is that it's got a similar-looking symbol on the very bottom left like an ISIS flag. wouldn't surprise me at all if this was a truck of peace come to the US for a little sightseeing and snackbar visiting. apparently the flag on the right is also being depicted upside down, make of that what you will.
