New Orleans: Multiple people dead on Bourbon Street as 'car ploughs through crowd'​

Reports suggested a vehicle had driven through a crowd on New Orleans' extremely popular Bourbon Street, killing multiple people.​

Multiple people have allegedly been killed after a vehicle ploughed through a crowd of revellers on New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street in the US, according to local media and eyewitnesses.

New Orleans Police Department said that a lorry may have run down the group on the street, which is in the Louisiana city's French Quarter.

Witnesses speaking to CBS News claimed that a vehicle crashed into a crowd at high speed, and then the driver got out and started firing a weapon, with police returning fire.

It was unknown how many people have been killed or injured, but unconfirmed reports on social media claimed it is a "mass casualty" incident.

The incident allegedly occurred around 3.15am local time at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville.

In a post on X, a journalist at local news outlet WGNO-TV wrote: "NOPD source states that as many as 10 fatalities after driver in pickup truck plowed into crowd on Bourbon Street.

"Multiple more injuries. Mayor and police chief on scene," he added, though this has not yet been confirmed.

I do believe that other than the unwritten exceptions for war. What I mean is if you take things out of context in any religion you'll find it endorsing some fucked up shit, including Christianity. A prime example of that are the out of context /pol/tard talmud statements we all know. Whether those things are actually endorsed or not is something else altogether, in Christianity it isn't and it may be the same for others.

Fox News live updates indicate that the truck last went through Eagle Pass in Nov. 16, and it’s not known who was driving at that time. Wonder how long homie has been here for.

Fox News has learned that the truck used in the attack had a Texas license plate, and that it was tracked crossing the southern border into the U.S. at Eagle Pass, Texas, on November 16.

It has not been confirmed that the attacker was driving the vehicle when it crossed the border. Police have also not confirmed the attacker's immigration status.

Don't hate Christianity, I'm a Christian myself. What I'm saying is every religion can be twisted into a horrible creation when things are taken out of context and one's preconcieved beliefs take precedence over the religion itself. Prime examples are the liberal Christianity shit we know about (think transgender pastors and people trying to make King David look gay) and the jihadis we are dealing with here. Ultimately this isn't a theology thread though so I'll stop talking about this.

NOLA.COM reports that the name of the New Orleans attacker is 42yo Shamsud Din Jabbar.


"The suspect accused of plowing a truck through a crowd on Bourbon Street is named Shamsud Din Jabbar, according to a law enforcement source.
He's 42 years old. Police shot and killed him after the attack.

The source said he was carrying an ISIS flag in the truck."

I'm not going to lie, if you don't go to the bad parts in the wards, NOLA rocks. Everyone there just wants to drink, bareback sex, and gamble poorly. All the black people there are normally cool about race if you are in the tourist areas, and there is a bunch of neat stuff to see and do. Nothing like being hungover as fuck and getting benights as Du Monde outlet in the mall near the river next morning.

It's a shame that the city gets jack-hammered by crime, nature, and poor city planning.

Muslims due to their beliefs being religious in nature have the backing of their institutions (either domestic or international) to support them. For them it's a holy crusade which most people believe is just, they just don't want to be the one(s) to say or do it. It's similar to how because I'm an open Jew, many people both here and IRL think I'm going to Hell, despite not actually saying it publicly. And if someone does say " you're going to hell" you would never say: "he's wrong" you would say "he's saying it the wrong way". But iregardless you both believe the same shit (that I'm going to hell).


The sooner people realize that Dearborn and other cities are filled with these sympathizers the sooner we will rid ourselves of these issues. I have no problem if you hate me or think I'm going to hell, I have a problem when you make it MY PROBLEM. And I'm sure many of us can agree especially with the context of Islam. We need to move past this and realize that these people aren't escaping persecution or war (like say the Jews, the Catholics, the Russians). They're here because their home economy sucks and if it didn't suck they wouldn't be here. I have sympathy for the ones that are truly pursecuted but we must come to the realization that most of them are not.

You don't have to twist anything in Islam to justify murder, rape, and slavery. It's laid out clear that all those things are permitted and glorified.

Sure, but this doesn't happen at equal rates for all religions. Some doctrines just make it easier for people to twist into justifying horrible acts.
