That's how I read it. With Tesla, you're sold a computer that sees everything. If there was indication that the battery was having faults even a month prior, which with a explosion like this, there would be some data to back it up. Musk has no reason to lie currently because law enforcement is crawling up his ass.

I wouldn’t take word from the same telemetry that shuts its autopilot off 0.01 seconds before a crash to remove all liability on Tesla’s end. Surely they wouldn’t outright lie would they?

I personally decided to make use of the ignore feature. Seems to work wonders.

I was actually surprised at the construction. Reading the other thread, there was a detonation mechanism involving fireworks, gasoline, and camping fuel, per the news. That is a fuck ton of strain to put on a vehicle like that. Yey it seems the chassis survived to a unexpected degree.

im kinda on the fence about this being a planned attack, but I feel like if the sensors used to detect this were malfunctioning, there'd be signs either that the battery is malfunctioning or that the sensors themselves are malfunctioning in the telemetry data itself. im not saying it isn't possible, or that there's no possibility this would go completely undetected, but this is the type of data that would make or break a lawsuit. I feel like its in their best interests to add multiple redundancies into a system like this.

I would never even drive a tesla or any EV, fuckers are dangerous, and very overpriced. I thought it was common knowledge that teslas are "tracked". It seems to me that not knowing this is more an issue of you being uninformed or dishonest on purpose. And if you think your car isn't being tracked, you dont' really understand much. "constant connection" probably not, but you are tracked by your government by phones, gps, and i wouldn't be shocked if cars don't have tracking built in that we dont' really know about.
