The incident at Trump Tower in Las Vegas

Eye witnesses claim there has been a "huge explosion" near Donald Trump's tower in Las Vegas, with one local posting on social media saying he heard a loud "boom, boom, boom".

Videos taken by locals nearby the 64 floor complex have reported police and fire rushing to the scene, which boasts it has the most "exceptional views" of the strip. One person shared a video on X seeming to show smoke rising into the air from close to the luxury complex, although it is currently unclear what has transpired.

They said in the footage: "I just heard a boom. There's a lot of smoke. It was like a boom, boom, boom. It almost sounded like a rolling garbage dumpster, then I saw that pop up."

Another wrote on X: "My friend who did the Grucci fireworks show in Las Vegas just now texted me that there was a huge explosion at Trump Tower in Vegas." Another added: "Some sort of explosion at Trump tower in Las Vegas. No idea what happened yet."

The Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas is a huge 64-story building, complete with condos, on Fashion Show Drive in Paradise, Nevada. It was named after its part-owner Donald Trump, and is located just down the street from the Wynn hotel.

The exterior glass is infused with gold. The property opened on March 31, 2008, with 1,282 rooms, as well as two restaurants. It is Las Vegas's tallest residential building at 622ft (190m).

I just realized something. Maybe that is why the Cybertruck is made of Stainless Steel.

If they were made of aluminium or titanium, then whenever a battery pack failed the entire chassis of the truck would go up in flames alongside it. Which would be even more nightmarish to deal with. Stainless Steel let Tesla make a much thinner chassis without that horrendous fire risk.

What I want to know is why don’t we have a name or any info at all about the driver/renter of that cybertruck. Yeah, I get it, they were roasted but they had to give a name/info when they rented it.
If it's a rightwinger they're going to be pants-on-head terrified that the day of the recycle bin is finally here.

Probably trying to cross-reference the charred remains to the details they have.

The other dude was still mostly in one piece just missing some blood, so easy to check.

This guys a burnsicle.

Doesn't prove the roast-ee and rent-ee are the same person.

Not that I sit around thinking up terrorist plots, but why not drive into the lobby?

EV fire in the lobby goes from "minor annoyance" to "aloha snackbar" real fast.
Thats a good point, EV fires are no joke and by simply driving one into a building and getting it to combust would do alot of damage maybe even taking the building out as I'm sure even modern building fire prevention wouldn't be able to handle such a large battery fire. I'm kind of surprised that terrorists haven't taken advantage of that yet. Hell it doesn't even need to be a terrorist, just a confused granny, drunk, or someone having a medical emergency would cause alot of damage.
