Which means one of two things:
1. As a lot of people are speculating, he really does have a solid amount of money stashed away somewhere, and is simply being a greedy cunt asking for more while pretending he's broke; it likely means his parents are slipping him a lot as well.

2. He really is as broke as he suggests, and is a complete retard with money. He spends it the way he does because of said retardation, or he believes his parents will bail his middle aged ass out when the piper comes 'round.

Actually, the question was which was fastest. Phil picked a bridge instead of the two monkeys on a vine.

Is it me, or has DSP lately been really aggressive towards his fanbase? I mean, it's nothing new for him to insult his fanbase, but he's been doing it a little too much lately.

Also, DSP quotes of the moment:
"I don't put out TRASH content. Reaction videos are stupid. Go watch meaningful content."
"No point to reaction videos AT ALL. There's no reason for them. People are just DUMB for watching them."
"Let's get started on this ACTUAL MEANINGFUL content, GAMEPLAY. I'm toughing through this cold to do this for you. Hope you appreciate it."

to be fair his fans reaaally tired of his crap, even his autistic hardcore fans are calling him out, so of course he's gonna be more aggressive instead of taking a look at what he's doing wrong.
 
Spends 300 on credit in the hopes that it will make 1000 later.... forgets about oh I dunno... interest?

I love that other of these guys can make a living off SNES games, 20 year old machine and games with nothing but their personality. And he can't.

A massive part of being an entertainer is being able to appeal to people. Some folks are able to do it on a mass level and achieve gigantic fanbases. Others will do a good job of appealing to niche audiences, creating a smaller but very dedicated following. In some cases, these smaller groups can still provide a good source of income for someone who works diligently to attract this audience and satisfy them. It takes a combination of the right content and a healthy sense of respect for the audience. Phil seems to have a very big problem with both of these areas. At his worst, he's abysmal in what he does; at best, he's inconsistent. That doesn't bode well for someone looking to survive in Internet entertainment, which has become one of the more volatile forms of commerce on the web.

Another issue with DSP is that he thinks he's entertaining and hilarious when most people just groan and sigh. The only time he's actually entertaining is when he's making a total fool of himself which he has went to avoid so much lately.

I don't know about you guys but I'm really not surprised about DSP beating O&S so easily. He seems to be talking on Twitter how """They""" are mad that he didnt die 1000 times but the DSP classic is to luck through and barely pay attention to the really hard part and beat it easily, but take an hour trying to open a door or beat the easiest boss in the game.

I still firmly believe that Phil's enjoyment of games has been eroded by turning it into a business. He looks at games as a way to make money to the point where he can't just sit down and enjoy a video game anymore. For other gaming channels on YouTube, you might see two to four playthroughs being rotated over the course of a week. Phil marathons it because it's like a machine to him. You can look at other channels and compare them to his, and see a stark difference between philosophy, attitude, and execution of their businesses.

The biggest difference I can see between the channel I'm thinking of for comparison and Phil, is that Phil is far too transparent about it being a business to him. He constantly whines about his financial situation and begs for money all the time. He talks about how he doesn't stop his gameplay to do shoutouts and address subs/donations, but it's the same thing when you dedicate the start of every single stream to do plugs and shake the cup for money. When you sit and whine for a half-hour to your viewer base about getting more money to stay home and play video games all day as a job, two things are pretty likely to happen. Either your viewers will start tuning you out or showing up late to miss the one-man telethon, or they'll just leave altogether. The start of your stream is the chance to hype up the crowd; the moment when the band comes on stage and says, "Good evening, Internet. Are you ready to rock?" Now just imagine for a moment if the bass player came up and asked for donations for 30 minutes before they got to their set list.

Going back to the other gaming channel I had in mind, they don't do that. They shoot the breeze a little, show some personality, and prepare to get things on a roll in a timely fashion. Are they making gaming their job? Of course they are. But they're not making that the focus of the product they're selling. They're having actual fun with each other. Cracking jokes, going crazy when something genuinely impressive or crazy happens as they play, and generally having a good time doing something they really enjoy. It helps that there is more than one person there in most cases; but Phil still has trouble when with someone else. He doesn't play off other people well, and his stuff he's played with Leanna tends to be fairly representative of that. It really comes back to the fact that this is far too much of a job to Phil. Record a game, turn it into money. He's lost sight of the fact that people call it playing games. Not manufacturing them into cash.

Somewhere along the line, I think he lost his passion for just playing games.

This always annoyed me. DSP will fluke some hard ass boss and boast how easy it was then need stream chat to figure out a puzzle for 10 year old gamers LOL.

Example: He fluked the Dancer Boss in Dark Souls 3 because for some reason it wasn't doing any attacks/was very docile.

In Ocarina of Time it took him 50 minutes or so to round up all the chickens in the village.

Another good example was the last boss of Overtime mode in Dead Rising. If I remember right, Phil accidentally boxed the boss in where it couldn't get back on top of the tank.
