Multiple people have allegedly been killed after a vehicle ploughed through a crowd of revellers on New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street in the US, according to local media and eyewitnesses.

New Orleans Police Department said that a lorry may have run down the group on the street, which is in the Louisiana city's French Quarter.

Witnesses speaking to CBS News claimed that a vehicle crashed into a crowd at high speed, and then the driver got out and started firing a weapon, with police returning fire.

It was unknown how many people have been killed or injured, but unconfirmed reports on social media claimed it is a "mass casualty" incident.

The incident allegedly occurred around 3.15am local time at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville.

In a post on X, a journalist at local news outlet WGNO-TV wrote: "NOPD source states that as many as 10 fatalities after driver in pickup truck plowed into crowd on Bourbon Street.

"Multiple more injuries. Mayor and police chief on scene," he added, though this has not yet been confirmed.

Them saying he acted alone fits perfectly into my theory that it was a sting operation gone wrong. CYA mode fully engaged.

edit: Remember the senator yesterday implying he knew something that he couldn't say out loud.
edit2: Fucking Nostradamus over here with this post also:
I have a very strong feeling that they're pressured to wrap this up and hope it's forgotten before the Super Bowl on Feb. 6. Way too much money to be lost if people are still remembering this in one month's time and it suppress attendance at the largest American sporting event of the year.

How the hell either of these improves safety?
None.

This just concentrates targets outside the hard security of the Superdome. Someone could probably rig a IED from a BBQ grill and take out a ton of tailgaters.

Subsequent attacks would be on the triage area to take out first responders.

An attack on the closest level one trauma center.

Then a bombing at a community blood drive.

Four separate targets for four of the remaining terrorists.

Of course, this is already part of the FBI playbook on possible targets so I am sure the government has all those sites secure.

Turo is not the most popular car rental vendor.

Some info:

  • As of December 2023, the U.S. car rental market is dominated by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which holds a significant 39% share of bookings.
  • Budget and Avis follow with 28% and 22%, respectively, while Hertz also captures 22% of the market.
  • ACE Rent-A-Car accounts for 18% of bookings, and Alamo holds a 17% share.
  • Dollar and Advantage Rent-A-Car have 15% and 14% of the market, respectively.
  • Thrifty and National Car Rental each command 10% and 9% of bookings, respectively, with Rentalcars.com also at 9%.
  • Turo, a peer-to-peer car rental service, accounts for 8% of bookings, while Fox Rent a Car has a 7% share.
  • Europcar and Sixt each hold a 6% share, and Green Motion accounts for 5%.
  • Other brands collectively represent 19% of the market, highlighting the competitive landscape and diverse options available in the U.S. car rental industry.
If they'd both rented from Enterprise, that'd be one thing. Turo's app may have more engagement than other apps, but a supermajority of car renters are still using vendor websites, not apps.

Yes, two people being from the same large military base could be a coincidence, but there's a whole lot of "well, I guess that could happen" coincidences here. I bet if you look, only 1 in 100 rentals at most is of an EV truck.
You can’t rent a cybertruck anywhere except from private owners on Turo.
I imagine the F150 lightning is pretty difficult to get on spec too - you’d probably need a business lease type place rather than a regular Hertz office. Too much trouble.
IMO that’s about the only part which doesn’t have to be a coincidence, the rest of the facts seem very weird though.

I even guessed the cybertruck would turn out to be rented on Turo very early on in the other thread, it’s just the obvious route.

Live title: New Orleans attack live:

FBI says it now believes New Orleans attacker acted alone

ETA : Surveillance footage showed Jabbar placing two improvised explosive devices in the area, according to officials

Preeeeeeeeeeetty sus, glowies...
so who torched the air bnb? you know, the one that we haven't heard anything about since the initial report?

and how did it go from video evidence of a female and three males seen placing devices in two different areas, then following the suspect's vehicle to ... correction ... lone wolf, threat eliminated, nothing to see here?

I don't even think it was one of their stings gone wrong. The fed fucks at the FBI probably decided to let it happen purposely to fuck over Orange Hitler.

Maybe some lib shit agent decided "Let's just skip the hotel room bust with fake bombs and just give him real ones to own Drumpf. Elections have consequences sweetie 💅"

If there's anyone inside the government involved in all this it's gotta be that fuck Mayorkas. I hope they really go after him after all this, but the guy seems untouchably powerful even after almost getting Trump killed twice, the border, and all the insane nonsense going on the last 4 years he's been in charge of.

The eternal Jew my man. He'll never face the reckoning he deserves

I don't think anything that organized is going on. I think there's glowies constantly trolling for suckers and part of that trolling is spraying violent anti-whatever propaganda and it just infects some people and they do a terrorism. It's a bunch of people of slightly above average intelligence sitting in offices trying to get promoted doing things that mess with the minds of people of average intelligence.

Well, who deludes themselves thinking that Ukraine is still a concern for Americans in 2025?
It’s like stopping some rando in the street and asking if they want to get laid tonight.

“Eh… Sure, yes!”

But they’re not going to do shit for it, and if you hadn’t asked the question they wouldn’t have gone there themselves.

Americans don’t want their money spent on Ukraine, and they barely think of Ukraine, but if you ask them if they want them to win, they remember all the MSM stories about evil Putler and fire off a non commited: “Yeah, sure. They’re the good guys, right?”

Ukraine could collapse tomorrow, and the only people who’d care would be Redditors. And only for a few days before they latched on to some different Globohomo project.

Remember when the DEI FBI agent said it wasn't a terror attack? They think the public are idiots (and most are). It's along the same lines of the the DEI Secret Service HNIC when she said they couldn't place agents on a sloped roof. If you believe the official line on anything they put out, you're a complete fool.

Yeah, a little bit too fishy for my taste. As if they tried to hide an inconvenient truth.

  • Agree

There could be a radicalization cell inside the base but again, there is no indication the Livelsberger dude was an Islamist or even sympathetic to the cause...
More likely they are looking at something for common outside or near the base. Be it a mosque, a bar, fitness club, glow in the dark fbi honey trap, whatever. There's way too many coincidences for there events to be completely unrelated.

Also the NV Cybertruck guy is supposed to have been special forces? Was he the company cook? Because most SF guys have a better understanding of explosives than was displayed when the Tesla went off.

There are reports he committed suicide now, so the ignition was probably timed even if rudimentary, building up the gas on the trunk.
What in the hell...
HOLY SHIT, HE GOT FAT!

(speaking with an arab friend of mine, Shamsud-Din is basically the equivalent of naming your kid Bartholomew)

How so? In that this is just an old name that is out of fashion or in that it is a name with old upper class connotations? It just sounds old and aristocratic to me but I am deliberately distant from muslim affairs. I do have some confirmation bias with what you're saying but I just wonder what the reasoning is.

  • Mobile ticketing. All ticketing will be mobile, so attendees will need their phones to enter.
  • Cashless. Caesars Superdome is a cashless venue for merchandise, concessions and parking. But some areas will have conversion from cash to Visa gift cards available.

How the hell either of these improves safety?

It doesn't, this is just standard for sporting venues now as part of the cashless world. Mobile ticketing keeps the profits in the ticket vendors because people can't scalp, cashless allows them to charge more because it's commonly known that people are less likely to want to part with cash than to overpay via card, and while almost nobody is going to a sporting event with significant amounts of cash on them even in the cash era, pretty much anyone has a credit card or debit balance that will allow them to spend a couple hundred on beer, concessions and merchandise. So, the gov't benefits from pushing people away from cash because it's easier to tax and track, and the big businesses benefit because it slows the boiling of the public frog as inflation and supra-inflationary price increases add up. A lot more people would be angry about inflation and "shrinkflation" if they were forking over a Benjamin and a Grant on groceries now instead of a Grant and a Jackson like 4 years ago.

I guess both idiots could be military
I guess they both could have IT experience
I guess they both could be connected to liberal causes
I guess they both could have used the same app
I guess they both could have rented electric trucks
I guess they both could have planned cross state attacks
I guess it could all be coincidence.
Sure seems sus though.
The similarities are circumstantial. The differences are foundational.
