what if AI actually can work really great but it's just H1Bs programming it so it comes out tard like them?
Well I mean, that’s a possible factor. But also, we as the general public only actually get to see intentionally retarded AI.

But just think of how useless so many people out there with six figure incomes are. Like bro, I don’t think AI can engineer shit from scratch, but I’m pretty sure all the dead weight, like the 90% of Twitter employees musk got rid of, are walking dead.

And I say good, because the west flat out consumes more than it produces, and the remedy to that is to produce more and tell Asia to fuck off

AI has a very hard time understanding context. It's basically a really autistic man who works insanely fast, but only understands if-then logic. All attempts to understand the human brain and human intelligence as matter and motion according to physical law have failed, so there's no algorithm that actually replicates human intelligence. The only way to fix this is to brute-force train the AI over countless generations, which requires an immense amount of input and a ton of energy. Whenever you use some funny meme AI tool, you're helping a major company train its AI.

The end result will just be proprietary tools for specific applications.

I was just being a smartass about machine learning, sorry

My current running theory about the H1B visas and Elon sperging out, is that it was intended to cleave the "racist MAGA" from the "civic nationalist MAGA". In meme slang: "it was an Op".

Elon was so provocative on purpose in order to draw out the racists, so they could be exhiled.

Disgusting Laura Loomer was the face of the anti-H1B. That ugly face was pushed all over MSM.

Nick Fuentes was designated herder of the to be exhiled.

Steve Bannon gave strongly worded "fire and brimstone" pushback... In the form of civic nationalist "think of the disenfranchised Black and Latino American workers".

The "divide" would be resolved by "compromise" between Elon's tech bros and civic nationalist MAGA (like Steve Bannon), while exhiling evil racist lazy basement dwelling Nick Fuentes groypers.

I think this "Op" isn't going very well for them. Too many normies jumped on the poojeet hate train. Loomer brought up ridiculous H1B examples, but then techbro autists kept digging. Vivek's shady past being exposed did serious damage to credibility.

They brought in Sam Hyde, because he's got "racist street cred". Mr Hyde had a man-to-man with Elon, in the form of a very public video. Where he said he knew Elon was a good dude inside, and he knows Elon could be a good leader if Elon could wrangle the retards better. Mr Hyde made sure to target the message at evil racist lazy basement dwellers by shouting out Asmongold and MoistCr1TiKaL repeatedly.

Bernie was summoned to corral the lefties who were getting too race conscious and redpilled. I suppose, the old sheepdog needed an extension on the lake house.

I see Trump is putting his credibility on the line now. Which means they will probably start rolling out the "compromise" position.

Jared "they look hwhite to me" Taylor was unbanned on X. As was Null. This makes me think they (and other undesirables) will be used to draw the racists to them to be cleaved off (I'm not saying Null or Taylor are secretly in on it).

I've shared this working theory, so others might benefit from looking at the events from a different angle. Maybe Elon is just a gigantic cringelord subtard.

"I asked Gemini to give me a recipe for shortbread but it just told me to 'do the needful' and that it's ok to not wipe your ass."
I have toyed with "advanced" AIs and my experience is that they really are just like mega autists. When you ask them direct, simple questions using recognizable keywords, they will sperg out a bunch of useful technical information. However, they are easy to outsmart if you are wordy and, if you talk to them like a normal human being, they shut down entirely.

Lawyerese destroys AIs, which are chatbots in most cases.

Edit to add extra point: plus, with all these trust and safety retards, the AIs are literally kneecapped. The whole "we don't want our AI to say anything offensive" thing really limits what these things can do because sometimes it thinks you're asking an unsafe question and shuts down, even when you're not.

And you're only arriving at this conclusion now?
His real claim to fame was creating PayPal. Other than that, he's a successful venture capitalist. He acquired Tesla through a lot of business maneuvering and the idea that he's some engineering savant is nothing but PR. He throws money at pet projects.

I don’t think it would be really difficult to add instructions like “don’t make up fake information.”

That’s what I meant by saying the general public only sees intentionally retarded AI. Most of the human work going into its development is tailoring it to fulfill this or that agenda. Data has been scraped and algorithms have been deployed.

Shit, the military already has fighter flying AI’s that win 100% of engagements with humans

Enjoy every single US tech company turning into Calcutta
Nothing in this post refers to anything, he's just reposting an article that was confirmed to be bullshit, and the second article is specifically about Skilled workers, not just anyone. Also you really need to show links to these posts because if you don't then we can just assume that its fake and gay.

You answered your own question.

Do you want to be lazy and comfy and have a dictatorship of the Congress or do you want to be a little less lazy and a little less comfy and have a representatve government?
Compare the incumbency rates versus Congressional approval rates and you'll have America's answer.

Compare the incumbency rates versus Congressional approval rates and you'll have America's answer.
And then we can get into the part where civics were largely removed from American education two generations ago.

America as an idea and its founders were vilified within the education system one generations ago.

And today the American education systems tells children that they are born with original sin and while they can never wash that damned spot out, they can offer their lives and especially their economic capacity to very specific groups as atonement.

The people are broken because they were raised to be broken. I'm the crazy one for suggesting it.

And don't think that is me excusing the lazy, do-nothing public for being this way. A whole lot of us have accepted comfort and convenience in exchange for a whole lot of government abuse and we did it consciously.

tl;dr: too heated
1. There were people "white knighting" and defending Trump against all criticism which goes against the forum policy of lolcows
2. There were people constantly posting outright fiction (knowingly or unknowingly), which is inappropriate for a thread that is supposed to document real criticism
3. Massive fighting between groups of 1 and 2 that was bleeding out to other threads and people's profile pages
4. As Trump is president-elect, some caution needs to be taken on posting things that may be outright slander as we do not need another party with a lot of power invested in shutting down the farms. I think that's why we don't have BlackRock or Soros threads.

It might be possible to split the thread in two like the Russian-Ukraine thread, where one thread is for posting with feelings and one is for posting with facts, bit that would be difficult to moderate.

...I'm guessing.
The Laura Loomer thing was complete fan fiction and it blew up because someone decided to feature it.

The deadly New Year's attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas have officials in Washington, D.C., on high alert about potential security threats ahead of President-elect Trump's inauguration.
Why it matters: Concerns about a possible wave of nationwide violence come as extraordinary security precautions are already being put in place for both the inauguration and Congress' certification of the 2024 election.
  • One senior House Democrat told Axios that this week's attacks have rattled many lawmakers.
  • A House Republican said they are "very concerned about security" because "we saw real terrorism this week," noting that a Trump property apparently was targeted in the Las Vegas attack.
  • Even before the attacks, some House Democrats said they planned to skip the inauguration out of fear for their safety.
Driving the news: In New Orleans, a man identified as 42-year-old U.S. Army veteran Shamsud-Din-Jabbar allegedly drove his pickup truck onto a sidewalk on crowded Bourbon Street, killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens.
  • And in Las Vegas, a Tesla Cybertruck containing fireworks and fuel exploded outside Trump's Las Vegas hotel, killing the driver and injuring seven others.
What they're saying: D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department said Wednesday that it has "heightened its security posture" in response to the attacks.
  • "As we approach upcoming major events in the District of Columbia, MPD will continue working with our local and federal partners to assess potential threats and make any necessary adjustments," the department said in a statement.
  • D.C.'s Metro Transit Police also said they've "heightened security," including an "increased police presence" on public transit.
Zoom in: For the first time, the Department of Homeland Security has designated Congress' certification of presidential electors on Jan. 6 as a National Special Security Event — the same level of protection as inaugurations and the Super Bowl.
  • It will be the first time since the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, that Congress meets to certify a presidential election — though, unlike in 2021, there are no serious efforts to try to overturn the election results.
  • U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger told WTOP last month that security for Jan. 6 will be "night and day" from what it was four years ago.
  • Fences have already been erected around the Capitol warning would-be trespassers about federal law that prohibits entering restricted grounds.
Both D.C. law enforcement agencies said Thursday there are "no known threats" to events in the city. U.S. Capitol Police said they have "already been ramping up security, as planned, ahead of a busy month."
  • A senior House member with knowledge of the security preparations told Axios that the Capitol is "well fortified" and that "frankly, given all the steps we've taken ... we're about as secure as we've ever been."
  • Even so, the lawmaker added that "we're obviously monitoring all of this. The violence everywhere is beyond troubling. ... There are ongoing concerns."
Zoom out: The New Year's attacks come amid a period of growing political violence, including a steady years-long rise in threats targeting members of Congress.

Public services should not be in the hands of multinational corporations run by Jews and Jackwelshist MBAs.
But that isn’t what we’re discussing. The original post said that “daddy government does ALL ELSE better than muh free market” I would love to see a single shred of evidence that the government can do a lot of the services that the local businesses around me can do let alone do it better

The “multinational corporations” doing things comes about mostly through daddy government holding their hand and giving them subsidies and competition punishing regulations in many respects

So again I ask for a single shred of proof daddy government can do everything better than the private sector, unless by “everything” you mean wasting money on trannies or Beyonce concerts

I'm not trying to argue in favor of daddy government here, but there is a single shred of proof: GPS. That is operated and maintained by the Department of Defense.
