Character adoption culture is something I've researched on and off for the past few years. What I ultimately wonder about the whole thing is where the ethics lie once someone decides to take an adopted character and put him/her into an official production. With adopts, there's no official copyright filings involved, just a matter of trust amongst the art community and money exchanging hands (sometimes too much money, but it's Internet artists).

I never heard of or saw that movie as a kid, and I'm now wondering if there's something in that movie that gave Internet artists (especially ones that also happen to be theater kids) some special kind of brain rot. Lauren Faust even worked on it.

That might be the biggest reason why it's entered public Internet conscious over the years next to furries crushing on Sawyer hard, on top of it being a big(?) example of how much WB Animation fucked over their movies in the '90s. I first saw it as an adult, and I think it's fine for a kids' movie. There's some neat moments even though the animation is its biggest highlight because holy cow it's so fluid even for Warner Bros., it's a nice way to honor and criticize the golden age of Hollywood, Darla Dipple is an underrated villain whose voice-actress (and singing VA) killed it at her age, and it was Mark Dindal's first feature-length movie before he got hired to direct Emperor's New Groove. I'll have to watch it again with that knowledge to see how much of his visual humor made it in, I know Max's teleportation is one example.

Other than that, I honestly don't get why people praise it as an unsung classic when yeah, it's an unsung animated movie and has become a cult classic, but it's not an ambitious film. But if it was an honest inspiration for Viv because she was one of the lucky few who saw it as a child, then I'm not going to fault her for it. I might actually be a bit more concerned if she said, for example, The Chipmunk Adventure was an inspiration even though that's another underrated animated film that's gained cult classic status over the years.

2. Try to sound less angry, and make your wording a bit more neutral. Some of this sounds like you have a hateboner for her, which doesn't work for a good KF thread. Letting the cow speak for themselves is typically a good idea.

Yeah part of why I kept alluding to OP being a faggot is because they are an a-log while having a weird porn folder (which they said they deleted), making them a bit of a minor cow themselves since they spend their time kinda tardraging about Vivzie in the HB/HH thread even saying cringeworthy shit like:

See my post in the HH/HB thread for screenshots about that, including where she tried to claim that Raph, the storyboarder behind Poison, is a sexual assault survivor when Raph outright stated he wasn't. It's also claimed that Poison lifted elements straight from Raph's rape fetish comics.
• Allegedly threatening to sue Kedikatzen due to incorrectly believing that she was behind the transphobia document.
• The latest post originates from Chaifootsteps, whose source claims that the animators had to work on a 25 minute long episode in just 3 months, from September to December, while Viv and her friends were on vacation.
  

The "screenshots are fake but also a joke" post she made on Instagram I was referring to on the first page, though now that I'm looking at it again, I don't remember if the "joke" part is relating to the Discord screenshots, or the people reposting them. Still can't find the link to the Instagram post proper, but someone else posted another screenshot of it.
