exactly, that's why you only play your self-written obscure ruleset to not indirectly support a company like WOTC by playing their brandname game DND in any edition, nor any other of the soycucks in the ttrpg-sphere. I don't get many players but boy the ones I get are immediately on my wavelength, no filtering necessary!

I just stick to the Original Version of the World's Most Popular Roleplaying Game.
Old School Essentials is a popular packaging of that ruleset.

That or just play Castles and Crusades or Basic Fanatasy. Or ACKs when you finally get around to that.

Its not all that difficult to excise terms and language and deny companies set on the destruction of the hobby space inside the discussion.

It's good for your games if you the opposite of what it says. We Pro-Colonial now.
There some (unintentional) good points about upgrading your descriptions and focusing on why your characters are being villainous to provide options for alternative resolutions, but you've nailed it, This is the inverse of good advice. Especially that first point.

Have Elves/Dwarces/Swarthy South Men/cave niggersDrow/Niggers because I'm so not racist when I see dumb,violent characters all I can think of is "blacks" Orcs all be the same or at least cut from the same cloth. So when you introduce NPCs that break that mold, or PCs want to buck the trend, they can stand out. When everyone is a bunch of faggots "broad cultural tapestry" there is nothing that separates one character from another, just have everyone be human at that point. GreyBlobsofStats.txt. Also so when you describe a character as a "dwarf" or "dressed in furs with an ornate axe on his belt" tells your characters what to expect from that character.

The latest supplement for Legend of Five Rings 5e has a section on performing anti-colonialism at the table. Because it's bad that exaggerated feudal Japan with bonus Mongol samurai isn't culturally sensitive to nomadic tribes in a tundra. It's also the worst supplement to what was until that point a solid game, since every single thing in the book is worthless in play unless you do a very specific non-human or outsider tribe campaign. Even if you do that campaign, every option you get is pretty boring. I'd be shocked if the faggots writing that could name a single non-Yamato tribe that existed in Japan.

This is especially irritating, since there was great advice on cultural sensitivity in a previous book: It's fiction, so do whatever you want, but make sure you don't upset anyone at the table.

I actually created a mind flail who's the head of the police force of one of my cities he basically sucks the brains out of criminals to find out their gang hideouts.

I had fun with that character I basically made him medieval Sherlock Holmes .

Much like the Tomb Raider RPG that rips off Blades in the Dark poorly that I read with some buddies and went through, this book also proves that the retards who made this didn't even read the anti-colonialist tracts that gave them these retarded talking points.

For those wondering, the main nexus points that led to the brilliant concept of "colonialism bad" can be summarized as such:

1. Actual Marxist-Leninist agitprop cooked by a French Academic who much like Pol Pot pushed "you ain't black if yous educated by whitey" who was reeing only about conditions in the French colonies in Africa. It ignored the approaches and methods that other powers did not just on the continent but in other portions of the world.

It also does not cover anything regarding neocolonialism and how the new meta is to have businesses foist the shit jobs on the people who will take it with a smile because they've yet to bleed to death for labor rights. It's literal communist gobbledegook, writen by essentially one of those western third world Maoists. Actual trash.

2. Victimhood seeking by an Arab who cooked his fucking braindead take in the aftermath of pissed off Arabs cutting off oil via OPEC after the Yom Kippur war. It of course ignores the history of genocide and exploitation his people did, since they dindu nuffin.

3. When that fails, obfuscate your points, which can literally be boiled down to "exploitation bad, you racist" with technical terms that you cannot be arsed to explain.

Also by the morons who write Legends of the Five Rings' own logic, they should fucking stop writing and kill their IP, since they're exploiting the "Exoticness" of the setting to drive sales. They by their own definitions are fucking colonializing East Asian culture.

They also if you think about it enslaved and treated the people who played the card games like shit due to rapidly changing the game setting's lore based on it to sell more cards. So fuck them lol.

The entire point of the PCs in RPGs are they are they people who stood up to the task no one else would. Especially in the heroic fantasy these people advocate for, but even the mudfarmer type games, the PCs give up a life of toil to raid tombs either for personal gain, or to save the world. What are the PCs supposed to do? Sit around and do nothing?

The anti-colonialism sidebar appeared only after the books caught a bad case of third generation Asian-American sensitivity readers. Who also came up with such brilliant ideas as "it's bad that the only god with a Chinese name is the evil one" and "you can't call wizards shugenja anymore".

They also if you think about it enslaved and treated the people who played the card games like shit due to rapidly changing the game setting's lore based on it to sell more cards. So fuck them lol.

5e of the RPG was actually a lore reset to the initial status quo at the start, which removed a lot of the more insane card game-based lore decision. Like every single clan getting corrupted because the corrupted cards were too good to not use. Apart from a shrinking minority of people who actually liked the insane lore, the changes initially went over pretty well. The real issue people had with 5e was that it used Fantasy Flight funny dice that can be copyrighted. And even then, the system works pretty well in practice.

The predomination of leftoids in all the "scenes" is basically just a side-effect of everybody else being chased out of the public sphere by them, and their aggressive territorialism, and arguable bigotry, couched as "Love and tolerance".
Soon enough, it will be the leftoids being chased into hiding, as their viewpoints are swiftly on the way to becoming organically verboten, as a response to their recent overreaches.
Buddy of mine runs a pub, he's always dragging his latest girlthing to my flat to show 'er off.
Half of them seem to be shell-shocked post-enbies sheepishly reacclimating to "being a woman".
I dunno where he finds 'em.

This, and also, how much fucking work do they expect me to fucking do as a DM? Sometimes I don't have time or desire to make sure each and every single one of my orc raiders is distinct and fleshed out with unique traits about how awesome and good and definitely not evil because of their skin but because of their socioeconomic factors they are.

Sometimes I just need an orc to be a fucking orc. We haven't done combat in a while, I can tell you're all bored, here is some orcs to get the blood pumping, stop arguing about fucking gentrification and kill them already.

The citizens happily greet the players and boast about how amazing their culture is. They tell the players that they have solved all of their problems and there is no need for their involvement at all.

Leftoids dominate the scene because leftism is itself a LARP by losers who want to feel heroic without actually doing anything. They love to style themselves as heroes of the working class, the protectors of the black people, or the champions of the migrant refugees, all people they have zero contact with, zero knowledge of, and have never done anything for besides post on social media and vote Democrat.

TTRPGs naturally attract people like this, because it's another way to not feel like a fucking loser. But since they are losers, they have infinite time on their hands to take over, same reason that absolute human waste always become reddit jannies. The real red flag is someone for whom RPGs are an escape for how sad and pathetic their lives are.

And then they do, even though they will not play that terrible PbtA scam job; it's just there to say they pretend to care for solidarity.

Then you got "Cargo Cult Communists" as I call them, where they whine about concepts they do not understand nor do they want to since they just want to be mad. Colonialism and the critique of it in general is one of the more egregious ones.

And I should note that leftists can make good games. The people behind Ecclipse Phase are geniune anarchists, and it's a pretty solid game about trying to find balance after armageddon, often while cleaning up the remnants of said armageddon.

I did not know that since the card lore stuff turned me off to it. That and the relative obsession with ritual and etiquette just makes me think it's a rules lawyer's bonanza to do shitty things. Reminds me a bit too much of the mud dwellers who really get a boner for their weird take on medieval times.

This is the thing I find funniest. You need a conflict in story telling, and those conflicts require suffering in the world construct. This is basic bitch writing 101, and the current crop are so lazy, scared of flak from tourists, and babybrained in general they can't make good antagonists.

Mainly because when they do, their flaws tend to make them more likeable.
 
Ah, L5R. I do miss playing games of it as straight as possible to the lore of the setting and winding up my fellow players by managing to get a character killed every few sessions.

GM enjoyed it at least.

There is a very simple solution to this. If someone at the table brings up that colonialism is bad, all you have to do is make the X "I'm triggered" symbol and say how treating it as bad is triggering for you.

Because its in the rules, they have to stop saying its bad.
