So you just hate democracy? What's wrong with letting the House be a place where people with actual ideas get elected, rather than a gigantic money scheme where nothing really happens?
My hatred of democracy has nothing to do with why 4500 people in the House is a bad idea. Try to game out how, in a crowd of 4500 people, Mr Big Ideas Guy gets heard. With a House that big, 90% of the members will never get floor time and never get on committees. They'll be no different than the common voter - just a face in the crowd, called up when it's time to vote, dismissed for the rest of the year.

We are officially going back to Dorsey twitter. Free speech sure didn't last long. Only happy thoughts and nothing critical of the system. The archive is completely different to what i see and it removes all critical posts. Musk also started restricting replies to paid only and encourages others to do such.

"Adrian" on his twitter spaces circle jerk was seething about how MAGA chuds weren't toeing the line to his demands.
It's illogical. How can they just say no? They must be racist.

While I shit on fat packs for getting the election wrong I probably am the one who should wear the burger suit
It seems to be the latest hip fashion trend here in the Autistic Thunderdome.

As an aside, was it really a surprise to see a bunch of House seats stolen?

Having gigantic 'houses' or 'congresses' end up usually sucking. At a certain point they just because a gabble of rubber stamp bureaucrats. And they considered this, with agitprop reasons, as 'more democratic' because it was fewer per person. That metric really is fairly meaningless IMO.

The Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union had 1,500 members after the 1984 election, but was reduced to 542 members after the reformed Supreme Soviet was elected. The Supreme Soviet was a bicameral legislature with two chambers: the Soviet of the Union and the Soviet of Nationalities.

Where were you when the Night of the Long Xeets happened?

Democracy is not always good especially when you're splitting the existing voting power between people who may or may not be completely interested in the benefit of the country. The government almost always has many bad actors who are more self interested or are in bed with corporate entities such that their votes become detrimental, so its already a gigantic money scheme whether you like it or not. More ideas in general is not always good, sometimes said ideas can be stupid and it's better to not implement them (inflation reduction act cough cough).

Edit: it's one of the reasons why in so called evil white nationalist countries, like Rhodesia and south africa, you had to get an education and own property to be able to vote, so you're an informed person making a conscious informed decision.

Anyone who votes Dem nowadays isn't human and is thereby not entitled to representation.
you vote dem because it stands for DEMocracy, obviously.

I doubt anything because Israel is a great airstrip into the rest of the ME.

HA HA HA. Ive never heard a continent screech so much about going to the doctor in my life. You people get sick if it rains and go to the hospital if it pours.

The US has lasted longer than your current government. That I can promise you.
who's talking about doubt? why the need to reassure yourself?

I know burgers have trouble with maps, but bongs talking about their shitty NHS healthcare isn't all of europe. they're not even part of the EU anymore (you're still paying for it btw, including your own illegal immigrants). it's like claiming florida and california are the same, this is the level you're arguing on.

and lasting for long is not lasting forever. remember that notorious bong healthcare came after their own empire, not during it, but if it makes you feel better...

There you go spouting fucking communism. I'd rather die than sell my soul for "free healthcare" which is just redistributed taxes. Literally satanic.

America has not fallen yet but it has seen many of Europe's tin pot dictators fall. Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, King George III. What says for your tiny country's government?

If the House of Representatives was to be greatly expanded the following factors have to be considered:
1. The United States still has a two party system even if theoretically constituents could more easily interact with their representatives in person
2. Most states would still have their state legislature control how congressional districts are drawn
3. Unless changed every member of the House would be paid the same $174,000 each.
4. The political power of Representatives from smaller states (which already isn't that great) would be even more statistically diluted and make them have even less influence.
5. The larger size of the House could make it more awkward to handle and operate, there are only so many Committee spots for people to be assigned to for example.
6. The Capitol may have to be redone or be made larger to contain all of the new members when Congress is in session.
You think too much! More reps = more democracy. Doubleplusgood democracy, even, and therefore if your parliamentary buildings don't resemble a soccer stadium full of hooligans, its not a real, troo and honest democracy.

Europeans invented the democracies, dontchaknow.

How exactly does vehicle telemetry show there are explosives in the trunk? Does Elon know what words mean?
The vehicle telemetry shows the battery didn't massively heat up right before the explosion. Hence "the vehicle had nothing to do with it". He had to do this because a ton of retards insisted the battery spontaneously combusted because they were built by pajeets. Plus you can literally see the accelerants in the truck bed.

Its wasn't unreasonable to think it could have been the cause. A brand new Cybertruck spontaneously combusted the same god damned day on a dealership lot. Its not without precedent.

Apportionment will probably be a contentious topic leading up to the 2030 census. If it is anything like 100 years ago it will be a shitshow for multiple decades.
Historical US Apportionment.jpg
The 100 year freeze at 435 House seats has strained the function of the House of Representatives. Solving this breakdown of functionality requires finding a solution that enough power factions agree on. Hopefully without them literally murdering each other.

You could greatly increase the number of seats and avoid government bloat if the new Congress members effectively replaced current unelected beaurocracts and/or lobbyists.
I would imagine more caucus and interest groups would be formed around issues of mutual interest. Being a Representative of a sea port district would naturally incline joining a group with other sea port Reps. This could be more formalized, like current House committees (just more of them for narrower issues).

Adding new States or partioning current States is also due for restructuring. This will be heavily shaped by partisan fighting and the faction composition of the 2 parties. MAGA is changing Republicans into a more populist party. It is unknown where the Democratic party is headed. Almost anything can happen in a realignment.

My feelings on Washington DC represention are that Washington DC should have zero residents living in it. Either move everyone out; redraw the border; or assign the residents to Maryland.

Greenland being a State on its own is silly, unless Elon builds some giant biodome as a test city for Mars. Greenland is a frozen rock.

Considering the legal team and resources Lara trump had? Honestly yea. But I guess that was only for the presidency and pre election night votes or something. Freaking waste.
