Because they flew back to town when he and Kayla got arrested for felonies and (maybe) delayed a vacation to help him clean up the sty they bought for him? That they (probably) (continue to) finance him/his household at this point, at least until he closes the sale on the second house? Well, Jesus Christ, that seems pretty minimal.

What else do we know about what they've done for the kids?

I've seen nothing that indicates they won't fund him if it comes down to it, (maybe/presumably for the kids, one hopes), but also nothing that says they prioritize the kids (over him or otherwise). They are living their lives in TX and at Disney, etc., they haven't swooped the kids away to real schools, and they haven't forced him to get real rehab or get a job.

I have to think they're doing things behind the scenes and have provided for his children - bc duh, who would risk it all to his decisionmaking? But I'm not seeing anything that indicates him being brutally cut out or that they are especially invested in those kids. ...which is fair - the kids are his to handle, and his parents already did their time raising their own. But I can say with zero doubt that if I'd done what Nick had done, my parents - without anything huge monetarily to hang over my head - would have uprooted their lives and had my kids every single day, or been actively involved as much as any other temporary custodians would allow. They'd have bled themselves dry to support and care in person for my children.

His only contribution to the stream was his "funny and weird"-style of stand up comedy at the start. For the rest of the stream he was silent except for the very end. Response was to the jokes was either silence or polite laughter
