Just call it journalism. It’s what journalists think they’re doing, and it uses their own behavior against them. An Uno reverse card.

That's pretty good actually. It has a good ring to it and fits pretty well with the definition. Plus, it follows the same fundamentals that "dox" came from initially.Xpo maybe, for exposition, exposure. Someone's Xpo, dropping an Xpo, collecting an Xpo, Xposing.
411 sucks.Revelation is nice, but I think it would upset the non religious types; 411 works.
I got his dox -> I got his documents. Fine I guess. Kind of ruins the culture though. Also, I'm not sure, but the "dox" in "doxing" may have been derived from "docs", so maybe we should just start "documenting" now?
Might be better to frame this as switching to a more "professional" and "adult" spelling rather than enforcing newspeak.
Exactly, knowing that Ralphamale's mexican palace is a your average taco favela is funny and pertinent to the enigma that is Ralph, but knowing some deathfat's precise coordinates adds nothing to watching them speedrun bariatric coffin%. IMO it makes it feel even seedier than it already is.I agree people should use more restraint on it, collecting info purely to prove you can is kind of cringe, and sets an adverserial tone when the goal should be mirth. I only post things I find if they're funny, or add to the narrative of the cow in some significant way, there's no real reason to post what specific house they live in or whatever unless it's amusing they live in a shithole while bragging about living in a mansion like when Dick had an Opsec Accident. I think that should be left up to users though.
I think our culture needs to become less hostile in general towards the topics of discussion, and most of them really don't need a phonebook listing. If the phonebook info is amusing (eg: it's funny that nick rekieta is getting foreclosed on) it should be posted, but otherwise I think it should be refrained from. That said, I don't know how that could be enforced fairly, and it should probably be a culture thing, not a mod thing.I don't have any problems with banning doxing on the site entirely. It would help keep the site on the Clearnet, and I've never felt that having someones address and phone number at the top of the thread made anything much funnier.
Oopsie! >w< Wooks wike you had a wittle Opsec accwident! OwO What a goofy wittle fucky wucky UwU! Big messy >:3c1.it implicitly puts the onus on the Cow for fucking up, rather than on the evil poster for finding their fuck up
2.funny inside joke about that rapist guy
3.It would be amusing to start a post with something like "Uh-oh, looks like ___ had a little opsec accident!"
Opsec Accident is one of the few only replacement I will tolerate. My legitimate case for Opsec Accident
