I agree. If we create a new word for doxxing, then journoscum will claim the new word is simply another word for doxxing (which is not completely wrong). To normies and lawmakers, the new word will mean whatever journos tell them it means. If the issue is with state legislatures and law then there is potential for "dox" and its replacements being caught in a unending cat-and-mouse word game.
There are two definitions for doxxing. Therefore, I propose that instead of creating an entirely new word, we amend the word doxxing with two new adjectives. There are two definitions of doxing (alt. doxxing):
a. Form of harassment in which personal information is used to intimidate, threaten, or distress others.
b. Searching / archiving public information and reposting it.
Doxxing a. becomes journoscum-doxxing, crim-doxxing, or something else
Doxxing b. becomes real-doxxing
By adding 'real' before 'doxxing,' we convey there are multiple definitions for doxxing without relinquishing ownership of the word. If we and other online spheres adopt this new usage, when journoscum inevitably discuss these new terms, they will be forced to acknowledge doxxing has multiple definitions.
Of course, journoscum will still try to distort these new terms. However, it will enter into the normie consciousness the idea that there are multiple definitions for doxxing.
