ex. "hey guys i farmed this dude's information from whitepages"

I like phonebooking. Why not 'booking' instead though if 'dox' came from 'documents'? Phoning maybe? I just don't think an actual replacement term will work if it's more syllables than the term it's replacing.

It's just an excuse to shift accountability. The County Tax Registrar does far more [insert faggot term for posting public information] than any farmer but there's no problem with that. The current redefining of the term is literally designed to make people think the info was hacked or stolen.

I would also argue Null posting this thread does far more to imply criminal intent than continuing to use an old term correctly. It's akin to a drug dealer speaking in code to avoid drawing attention to his drug dealing. He is clear in condoning the behavior itself, just don't call a spade a spade.

For those that believe this will make a difference, why not change the name of the site? Take the Saul Alinsky approach and pick a name that actively refutes the claims being made against you. Changing our name to "The Anti-Harassment Good Boy Zone," will really throw our opposition off.

How could we be accused of harassment? We literally have anti-harassment in our name!

Just keep calling it "doxing" since all these faggots won't stop spelling it "doxxing" and ban anyone who spells doxing with two xs. There, problem solved.

Changing the term won't do anything, even if it's funny to call it whatever Elliot William Fong-Jones or Taylor Lorenz do when they do it. Kiwi Farms is still the evil trannymurder website mass shooters post on and public enemy number 1 on the clear web. Null could ban posting of personal information here and it wouldn't do shit.
