The first time it was taken because some users were complaining and bitching about user scores and DM chains. I found it justifiable and kind of funny that Null decided to use his spare time to add a script to randomize the react scores. NowI just hope this function was taken off for a good reason.
All we wanted was a convenient user hub that lets us know when old threads we took part in are becoming active again, and you ruined it all, you with your autistic lust for dopamine and updoots. You blew it all up, you madman.I promise I will NOT write a script that monitors every post you ever made for new stickers and notifies you of them.
can you stop breaking the fucking site mate? BEFORE rolling out your own version, no less.Okay, if you're going to force me to hard disable the page I'll do it.
Reactions are good because you don't have to reply "I thought this post was bad" or "no way that's actually true" (optimistic) or "I was going to post the same thing" (agree).I know that the answer is that Null got mad and had control over it to change it in anger but why not just remove the reactions received page entirely if this was the course of action he decided on?
nah, this is wrong. Now he just did it to spite a user that did a code to calculate reaction scores on his own
This is the same purpose most people used it for it seems, it's ridiculous some will just say its for people who saw it as reddit updoots. The first time it was taken because some users were complaining and bitching about user scores and DM chains. I found it justifiable and kind of funny that Null decided to use his spare time to add a script to randomize the react scores. Now he just did it to spite a user that did a code to calculate reaction scores on his own. Breaking the user experience for others because he personally doesn't like the sticker function and someone did a workaround on their own system is retarded. I liked using it to track if a thread that I made or I commented on was active again instead of using the watched function and get a notification every single time a post is made after I finished reading it.
I know for a fact other threads are having activity but ever since I posted in this thread this is the only one that tells me there's a new post in like every 5 posts. All we wanted was a convenient user hub that lets us know when old threads we took part in are becoming active again, and you ruined it all, you with your autistic lust for dopamine and updoots. I agree with this post.Reactions are good because you don't have to reply "I thought this post was bad" or "no way that's actually true" (optimistic) or "I was going to post the same thing" (agree).
Ah, I see. I just glimpsed at the script and assumed it worked fine. That does make it funny now. Thanks for letting me know.nah, this is wrong.
the script was effectively DOS'ing the site. the 503 response code was a hint, but OP was too lazy to google what it meant. sharing it after the fact though, is just hilarious.
i'm surprised he wasn't banned.
I know what 503 means, thats why I added a longer polling time. Two requests to the reaction page every minute wasn't hurting the site. I would do more than that manually sometimes with my sticker autism.nah, this is wrong.

His obsession with cheese has lead him down a dark path from which there is no returning. He has never been quite the same since that thread, and we all know it.Why doesn't he just disable that function of the site, too? Unironically, every day Null becomes more of an unbearable misanthrope. I can't even stomach watching MATI anymore.
For sure. It was a great way to track which threads I posted in were the most active and which weren't.The first time it was taken because some users were complaining and bitching about user scores and DM chains. you say it wasn't hurting the site and yet now our functionality is crippledI know what 503 means, thats why I added a longer polling time. Two requests to the reaction page every minute wasn't hurting the site.
It's a weird function, I get random notifs from people I don't even follow lol and half of the time its just a filler post. The reaction page was more useful.I know for a fact other threads are having activity but ever since I posted in this thread this is the only one that tells me there's a new post in like every 5 posts.
I agree with this post agreeing with that post but I will not rate your post agree to save valuable server resources.I agree with this post.
But they are bad because the next time Null's shitty server breaks, it will take 12 hours to import 206 million stickers.
