I don't even use mobile I just wish watched thread notifs didn't sputter out and shit the bed constantly. Before that I pretty much always used it in a manner similar to what @NoReturn described just a bit ago for seeing people going through threads and shit in a manner unrelated to posting.

For me, the bigger problem with watching threads is that if you don't check the thread when you get the alert, you'll never get another fucking notification about it again. I'm retarded, I need to put phone reminders to check the stickynotes on my PC, I miss threads getting updates all the time because of this.

As @NoReturn suggested, an "Unread" option from notifications could work. Or you know, fix the fucking watched threads option, it doesn't work right and all it does more often than not is bloat the main page.
