Back when I lurked the original YTP scene, the few times Dopply was ever brought up, it was always in a very derisive manner. I know that the crew from the YTP Steam group chat (some of which are behind the Half Life: AI series of videos) disliked Dopply for being a disingenuous suck-up on their YTPs (not unlike 3012/ThirtyTwelve), and constantly begging them to come back to YouChew. Dopply also had a habit of designated everyone on YouChew a “close friend” and lovebombing them as such, although the majority of the forum knew nothing about him and hardly interacted with him well after the switch from ConradSlater's vanilla website.

Superfly Meets Shaftwas a part of a series of novelty "Break-In" records put out by Dickie Goodman from the mid-50s up until around the time of his death in 1989, where Dickie himself would usually play a news reporter and popular songs of the time were sampled and used as dialogue for whomst he was interviewing about, and considering how long he did this for it spans quite a lot of relevant topics of whatever time a given record came out, whether it be Watergate, The Oil Crisis, tons of presidential elections, or just inserting himself into the plots of TV shows and movies like Jaws, Star Wars, Superman, Dallas and the like and asking the characters things. The connection to YTP is quite apparent, but what separates S.M.S however more so than other Break-In records besides Dickie taking a backseat to "John And Earnest" doing the reporting and the use of then-contemporary Soul/Funk songs to go with the story of Shaft's quest to find Superfly (spoilers: he doesn't because he and Nixon fall in love and go make out in the White House), is the fact the B-Side also is just nothing but a stutter loop of the "Superfly" theme extending from the end of the A-Side."
