I have an idea that may be amusing at least if this unintended consequence bothers you that much. What if whenever someone reports ratings or cries about it, they get a new triangle equivalent and get the label "Dope Farmer", which also disallows them from seeing their own ratings since they care too much about it?
I'm not being snarky, I consider it a real problem and I'm trying to suggest ways to solve it. Shitty users are an issue everywhere, including corporate websites. I've seen this problem (in less autistic form) happen multiple times in professional settings. Whether you use those words or not, admin burnout and fatigue are part of the design challenge, and their headaches should be minimized.
I haven't exactly been skimming his posts, most of it is just me believing it's hyperbole since a lot of the reactions in general to this situation have been hyperbole from both sides.
I can honestly see why you'd then see the negative reception to the change as such then. But I believe others such as the lads above me have given better solutions to the issue. As I said to you personally regardless, I'm going to patiently wait for the rewrite, see what your vision for the website is, since there's only so much you can do over Xenforo.
As I said with the first one, they're just going to have to figure out how to use it regardless. They're going to be upset, but their position is just nonsensical. For the second one, that's more difficult. Personally, I always liked the system (presumably it still works this way on the backend) where different reactions are weighted differently. I know that Informative was pretty highly weighted and intentionally so to try and encourage posts which provide new information or a novel point of view.
matter of fact: i can stop them from doing that. unfortunately, there's strength in numbers and annoying the fuck out of me and threatening me.

Please explain to me, like I'm a retard, how going back to check on a thread that other users are currently reading was ever an issue. Please also consider this method never broke unlike New Posts does every day.

This would be ideal, assuming Xenforo supports it. I can't imagine this requiring more mod time/resources than handling the current slapfight situations. It also gives them a useful threat halfway between a warning and a full ban.
I simply do not see the fairness in punishing the whole community for a few shitbirds. Go back to the way things were before, tell everyone they can and will have their reaction page/sticker privileges revoked if they cause problems, and give mods the power to do so at their discretion.
I like seeing which of my posts are being interacted with. If I was able to have an option to sort the "your content" page so it would bump posts that have recently been interacted with I would be happy with that.
Temp ban people making reports over being negrated, and upgrade it to a permanent ban if they don't get the hint after 2-3 times.
