The Predator Catcher Community - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

There is a case where it would be interfereing with an ongoing federal investigation. That's a felony.
Assuming there even is one. I have yet to hear of an instance where that has been the case.
Lesser issues, some of which have been mentioned, are that it can get a case thrown out of court. Human rights violations, coercion, tampered and inadmissible evidence, inadmissible confessions.

Private investigators are very limited in their action, and are very meticulous with with evidence collection if it may go to court. It stops with having clean and sufficient grounds for a subpoena and direct contact is usually minimal. While there is a certain image to the PI, most work with attorneys doing evidence collection and are bound by rules of evidence
The fact that it can cause issues in court or be flat out illegal when done improperly implies that it is unlikely to be illegal or cause issues when conducted properly. Which was the point.
Again, you can split hairs on the cowish behavior of the predator catchers who refuse to evolve from reckless amateurism but it's been done right before and if Rosen continues to clean up his act he'll hopefully be a good example of it being done right again.

I'd love to hear the feds cry about DAP.

"We have spent untold millions of dollars and thousands of man-hours meticulously investigating pedophiles. And in over 100 cases, members of DAP have swooped in, committed assault, and moved on to new targets."

Fair enough. It may also impede future civil investigations that lead to charges, that's where I have issue with it. You get some real lawyers or a civil rights attorney on it and all that monetized evidence will never make it to court.

I couldn't see a thread just for him so this was the next best thing - apparently, Vitaly is casting for his own dating show on Stake

I can't verify it as I stole it from reddit following some other drama, but apparently

I work for a company that regularly gets PR pitches from influencers, and I got sent a pitch for what seems to be Vitaly’s new show on Stake — his own version of The Bachelor.

Wouldn't this interfere with the police? Chris Hansen had the police on a go, I don't see why they can't just do the same as Hansen. Just follow Hansen's example, have the popo there, don't get into a chimpfight that the suspect that can shoot out of or use it to shit up court proceedings.
Honestly, Chris Hansen has always been a shady person even during his 'To Catch a Predator' days.

Even back then, law enforcement agencies criticized his methods and sometimes he even botched an investigation because he was an egoist that cared more about the clout than actually doing the right thing (kinda like these online predator catchers that care more about clout and their egos than doing the right thing).

I think it's about time people stop praising Chris Hansen and stop putting him on a marble pedestal because he is a really shitty person for the same reasons why the world no longer puts Mother Teresa on a pedestal anymore when the world found out the truth and realized she was a shitty person as well.

Some aspiring members of the community tried to stage a fake “confrontation” from someone they managed to lure on Tinder, and got a mob of people to beat the shit out of this guy. Four of them got arrested.

It appears like they didn’t even do the pre-requisite of pretending to be underage either, so the guy thought he was meeting with an 18 year old on Tinder who was actually 18 in reality. She got arrested too.
Lol for bonus points, according to the article the guy is 22 aka a normal age for a college student to be. It's not even something skeevy but legal like a 40 year old being lured into sex with an 18 year old, it's just standard college behavior. What even, man. How do you forget the part where you're catching a predator? Gives credence to the idea that a lot of people involved with this fad aren't exactly here for altruistic reasons and really just like having the least sympathetic target possible to torment.

Kelsy Brainard, 18, a student of the $70,000-per-year Roman Catholic institution in Worcester, Massachusetts

Something truly insane about a person living such a lavish lifestyle their parents can piss away $70k/yr on college? doing this.

I looked a bit for this video and couldn’t find it in the thread, so sorry if it’s already posted but it’s too good not to.
This was a couple years ago, Ramy’s old editor Val broke ties with Ramy and deleted all of the videos on his channel to mess with him. Ramy decides to roll up to his work to harass him and threaten him, and then makes up a bald faced lie with zero evidence in front of his coworkers that he’s a child predator who messages little kids, before the manager throws him out. There was a better quality version off a better camera but that’s gone with his old channel so all that remains is the livestream camera.

You might be thinking why am I sharing some random user’s tweets that talked about Superpsyguy here instead of on his own board? Well….

It's because this dude mentioned EDP445. Apparently, lolcow pedophile hunters are back on the menu. These idiots are going to cause another pedophile to disappear with their botched investigation again.
I shared this in the EDP445 thread, but it bears repeating. YouTube is not the police, and these 'predator hunter' individuals are going to cause another police investigation to be thrown out due to tortious interference. Why do these Reddit users insist on pretending to be law enforcement? Call-out posts do not help protect people. At worst, the targeted individual could simply delete everything and start over. I remind everyone that an infamous brony singer was never arrested because publicizing the accusations interfered with the police's investigation. It's sad that people are still stuck in their 2014 phase.

The New York Times did a report featuring DAP and Vitaly. When NYT is reporting on it, it means that it's on someone high up's radar. I've only skimmed through it but it looks like my suspicion that DAP moves around on their hunts to avoid law enforcement is true.
DAP also looks like they went viral for beating up someone who appears to be a minor.

Not sure how true it is but from what i've heard on X, in that video they caught an 18 year old who was supposedly trying to meet up with a 16 year old. Fucking retards should be charged with assault

yeah. that makes zero sense. why pose as someone of the age of consent if you wanna catch pedos?
Because they are low-iq violent retards who just want an excuse to assault people, and the pedo catcher shtick not only gives them cover, it also gives them an army of retards who will defend literally every retarded thing they do
