Squid Game - battle Royale but adults!

Saw this little propaganda tidbit from the official Netflix bios for the actors in Squid Game. I didn't realize it was literally just a man playing a tranny. That makes that whole inclusion worth it just because it will get the Internet troons stinkditches in a twist. I find it hilarious because it shows that a tranny "woman", and a man playing a role are interchangeable, there is no line where a man couldn't easily represent a tranny as an actor. Maybe this will finally show them that there is a fundamental difference between the way Western and Eastern societies handle transgender ideology, and their whole existence is a bubble. Plus, nothing is more funny than watching trannies seethe over cultures that don't agree with their maladapted worldview, especially when its a nonwhite race, they can't say anything because it would be perceived as racism. Most likely they just ignore it and change the narrative so something obviously making fun of men that want to be women is actually a "trans coded" character (and why that's a good thing). It makes me wonder how much had to be changed regarding the way people treated the tranny character to make it more palatable for Western audiences. It's worth noting that they got a tranny to do the voice in English.

It would be interesting to actually hear the opinion of any Korean Kiwis, if there are any, on how accurate it is about how they treat trannies in Korea. It would be even funnier if there's anything that got cut for the West because it was too based and dunked on trannies too hard.

The most unrealistic part was when an old woman, and a pregnant woman, two very vulnerable types, let him follow them into the bathroom at night and nobody expressed any kind of worry. I was really hoping the guards would have slammed the door in his face in that scene, it really seemed like that was where it was going. Better yet if they forced him to use the men's bathroom at gunpoint for "muh trauma".

In the scene when he was talking about using the money on stinkditch surgery, I was making myself laugh because I was imagining him saying the money was for a revision because he got botched the first time. Which honestly is better motivation that has real stakes like he might die from an infected axewound if he can't get it fixed. Not just him saying "I need the money that you would use to save your life, or the life of your loved ones, so I can move to Thailand and turn my peepee inside out." I don't know how any of the characters didn't just outright say that the tranny's motivation is entirely founded on something ultimately inconsequential compared to not being killed by a loan shark for your organs.

Another funny thing is there's an implication that a lot of participants of this game were approached as they were about to commit suicide, so I guarantee you the tranny got in the game because he was about to join the 41%. If they show he literally was going to ack himself with a noose, it would be peak fucking comedy.

Also I found it hilarious that the tranny character was always the one that would scream in his very female voice and do very feminine things like threaten people with violence. (I watched the Korean version with the original man voice)
tfw they took your dilator.PNG femininescream.PNGcallmeawoman.png

He pretty much dropped all pretenses at the end that he was trying to pass too, I want a based arc where he realizes that none of that shit actually matters and goes on to detransition.

I will probably save my non troon related thoughts on the season for when it finishes proper. Any small gripes or questions I had could be resolved or explained by the end, so I don't want to start formulating a final opinion on only half of the conclusion. For what it's worth, Seasons 2 and 3 were written as one story, so I would rather judge it based on the intent of the writers. I think Netflix chopping it up like they did is a disservice that definitely negatively affected the pacing and the way the story has played out so far.

So, like, without spoiling anything ... Is Season 2 worth it? The trailers haven't impressed me. They've given me "been there done that" vibes.

"Season 2" is actually just the first part of the rest of the series and was split into separate seasons so Netflix could capitalize on the hype more than once and make the big marketing bucks from using the IP to promote Doritos and Domino's Pizza. Wait until summer for "Season 3" to air because the story doesn't have a conclusion and you aren't missing anything by waiting 6 more months. It has the added advantage of less money in Netflix's pockets because you only need to pay for one month to watch it all instead of one now and one later, which is what they're counting on. (That is, if you're not watching it some other way, that for legal reasons, I absolutely have no idea about)

I'd say it is worth a watch, but I would share the sentiment it is better to wait for Season 3 since Season 2 ends on a cliffhanger that feels like it is meant for you to watch the next episode.

I felt a bit baited, because the games started off REALLY strong.
456 taking charge of red light green light was super awesome to watch and I thought the entire time would be him trying to save everyone, with 001 trying to undermine him as well.
But then it got a bit weaker but still pretty fun to watch
The rest of the games were fun but I find everyone's memories instantly resetting really dumb.
Them calling 456 a nutjob because they switched up the second game even though he took charge and knew exactly what was happening in red light green light.
The fact that things would have changed from year to year without the thought crossing literally anyone's mind. Them allowing voting every game meant that everyone's mindset needs to reset to "yeah but muh debt" and as such everyone keeps flipflopping between "holy fuck I just saw this many people die" to "I almost died for a measly XXX million"?
The last episode was retard central and I don't know what the hell they were thinking beyond "oh shit we don't have a full season let's end on a cliffhanger"

The tranny shit pisses me off. Western values have no place in eastern media. Also I can almost guarantee the reason this season flopped is because The Acolyte poisoned the well and nobody's willing to touch a show with the faggot from The Acolyte in it.

You know that transgender people can exist in other countries right? And maybe you should check the facts before making statements because Season 2 did pretty well. Mind you, it had been less than 2 weeks since Season 2 came out which was years after Season 1 premiered.

I also don't think people give a shit that the lead actor starred in some Star Wars show that no one watched.

Nigger are you lost or something? Go suck off tranny cock if you're that instant on being the heckin valid people defense squad, but do it elsewhere. Nobody else here is going to defend your degeneracy. As for The Acolyte, it was the biggest culture war event of last year. They woked it up just like they did with Squid Game.

Nigga I'm just saying that transgender people exist in other parts of the world, they didn't just magically manifest in America and Europe like fucking fantasy creatures.

Yeah culture war people cared about The Acolyte, but the show itself was still not watched by many people with how it had been cancelled for low viewership. Not to mention you are naive for thinking that Lee Jung-jae's role in The Acolyte would cause Squid Game season 2 to bomb since that was not a career changing role for the guy, and thousands of actors have been in garbage that didn't even have dents in their careers.

We think the VIPs' plan is to 'turn' Gi-hun and make him the new game controller, because someone who has turned from his optimistic view of human nature will be even more of a blackpilled bastard than In-ho is.

The actor that plays Front Man/In-ho confirms this in the BTS feature, said Frontman wants to corrupt Gi-hun and bring him into the fold. It's dumb though that Gi-hun never suspects another controller in the game like last time, esp since O-Il Nam (old man creator of the game) was a 001. Frontman even uses Gi-hun's name without being told & it doesn't make Gi-hun suspicious, he just accepts his excuse that he overheard his friend say his name.

I liked this season mostly despite the Mary Sue Troon, but the writing this time around wasn't as good as season 1. They should've either added one more episode to this season...or just dropped all the episodes they filmed for it as one season, an episode a week if Netflix just has to sell more Squid Game themed goyslop.

I wanted to follow up on this and say that I saw some interviews and statements with the creator and can answer this partially. Apparently Korea is very conservative and gay marriage isn't even legally recognized. The creator wanted to have a trans actor portray they tranny, but there is literally no openly trans actors in Korea because being LGBT can be detrimental to your career. People theorize that the inspiration the tranny in Squid Game was a tranny that was Staff Sergeant in the ROK Army that got discharged when he came out as a tranny, and ended up 41%ing over it. After the fact they ruled that he shouldn't have been discharged. It's an eerily similar story to the one the Squid Tranny has, even down to the rank being close (The tranny in SG was Sergeant First-Class). It happened in 2021, so I can only hope that it was more of a reference to current events, like the characters that were involved in a crypto scam. Maybe the characters are meant to represent the selfish reasons why people in the modern age go into debt, rather than having a tranny character for the sake of it. Also it further cements my theory that the tranny was going to ACK and that's how he got an offer to participate in the games.

Frontman even uses Gi-hun's name without being told & it doesn't make Gi-hun suspicious, he just accepts his excuse that he overheard his friend say his name.
tbh Gi-hun has been thoroughly brain blasted by that point. I don't even think he processes the idea that he's been in The Frontman's game the moment he decided to not get on the plane and see his daughter. The Frontman is all about choice, and Gi-hun made his right at that moment. He wants to make himself believe that going back to the games even has a chance that he has an effect on anything. He doesn't see any outcome other than win or die, its just the same gamble as last time with higher stakes. That's why he chose to take the 50/50 odds of dying with the recruiter, despite knowing he could have accomplished his goals without participating in the game. Truth is, The Frontman knows Gi-hun will never be satisfied even if he does win. No matter how much money he has, being the kind of person he is, he would always end up back in the games because the risk is too alluring. He will just readjust his sights on another seemingly unattainable goal to gamble on until he eventually runs out of luck and dies, just like everyone else that has participated in the games for years. Even glaring evidence probably flies right over his head because he's being too single-minded about "winning" the perceived zero-sum game he's started with The Frontman, whom he thinks is still in the control room where he always has been. Character flaws that The Frontman exploited that led to the events of the last episode of Season 2. It doesn't even cross his mind that this is anything but a regular game. The Frontman even said: "Did you have fun playing the hero?"

I'm convinced the game is made of a bunch of suicidal people because the intent was always just to use this game as a way to break Gi-hun. It's going to be a gotcha moment by The Frontman, everybody keeps wanting to continue because no matter what happens the alternative for them was always death. Even if they get out, they will probably just die anyways. By convincing people to leave, Gi-hun is effectively consigning them to death, or at the very least delaying their fate of ending right back in the games, when they inevitably lose their winnings from the same choices that put them there. Meaning no matter what Gi-Hun does, he can't save anyone but himself, because of the inherent greed that these kinds people have. He wants to show that Gi-hun has no choice but to accept that The Frontman's philosophy is right, and lead him to either giving up, or joining him. I theorize this is probably the exact same thing that happened to The Frontman when he participated in the games. Maybe it was Oh Il-nam that did it to The Frontman back in the day. The message is very similar to the final confrontation that he and Gi-hun had right before he died. He was trying to convince Gi-hun the same message through their gamble on someone saving that homeless man from freezing to death.

Just finished, waste of time. Half a series after 3 fuckin years where basically nothing happens that wasn't expected. The gay red hair was also removed within 5 minutes lmao.

I thought the frontman entering would be a cool plot point but... he just plays the game. Other than him murdering that guy it made no difference. Main guy is also quite insufferable and one dimensional, where as he was endearing and interesting in S1.
North Korean girl again has a somewhat interesting story, but why tease it that much without showing anything, thats what I hate about these "half season" releases that keep popping up everywhere. It sucks cock as you get no payoff and can't enjoy what you get

thanos was cool i guess, but he highlighted that very few of the other numbers got a personality because his was so big.

not even gonna comment on the troon.

overall i thought the first 2 episodes had promise and would have been a 6.5/10 but after the end 4/10 kinda pissed off.

Finished season 2 last night.

-Agree with the consensus that the recruiter was the best character and it's a shame they killed him off in the first episode. His actor is great. That ending actually had me uneasy and made me really excited to continue.
-Thanos was hilarious with his Engrish and how over-the-top annoying he was supposed to be. Him skipping his way through Red Light, Green Light whilst high was a nice callback to the old man going through it while grinning. I snickered when he and his friend were dancing during Mingle. I expected him to be one of the first victims, so it was a pleasant surprise he survived for as long as he did.
-There's some really slow scenes, namely when it comes to the cop/boat subplot, and they definitely increased the comedy (most notable during the six-legged race) and made the games lighter. They were still good, but not as intense to watch.
-I really liked the old lady and kept stressing about either her or her son dying.
-The troon didn't bother me, Mary Sue traits aside.
-The bathroom fight felt kinda silly, didn't care for that part.
-Se-mi's death actually bummed me out a little, she was cool. I thought Min-su's attempt to save her would work.
-Last episode was the weakest. Figures they'd kill off Jung-bae to make Gi-hun angst and leave it at another cliffhanger.

I liked it overall, even if it didn't have to be cut that short. Curious to see how they end it.

Something I really don't like is how everyone was so fast to accept the troon, even the old lady. This is just there to normalize the westoid LGBT agenda in Korea and the fact that nobody's mad about this is insane to me. That being said, I really enjoy the mother son duo (heckin valid acceptance aside) and I'm really digging the investigation subplot. I'm just tired of seeing attempts to corrupt Asia with western degeneracy. I know some retarded faggot's going to say b-b-but there are fags and troons in Asia without recognizing the fact that there weren't any before they started mingling with the degenerate West.

Pretty interesting how such a one-off character became pretty interesting within just a single episode. Hope to see more unhinged roles from Gong Yoo.
He was one of the few characters that is just straight demented because he took the philosophy of Squid Game, making a gamble that could solve all your problems or end you, to the extreme. Other characters try to hide behind rhetoric to justify their actions, like they're doing people a favor. The Recruiter is in it for the love of the game. He plays games with people all the time just because he loves doing it, sometimes for no reason other than to enjoy watching people lose. Truly the biggest squid gamer in all of Korea.

That scene between him an Gi-hun playing Russian roulette was probably one of my favorite scenes of the season if not the whole show. I love the use of opera music, I love the way the pacing of the scene plays out, and Gong Yoo does a downright gripping performance. Hwang Dong-Hyuk's best written scenes are always the one on one dramatic face offs between two intense characters.

Yeah so I’m midway thru season 2. It’s an amusing show I think it was especially made for people to watch while goofing off on their phone.

But anyway it made me laugh that the old lady and pregnant woman beg their way into getting a bathroom break and then the troon character just pops in wanting to take a dump with the ladies. Made me think of Mrs. Garrison.

Edit: Yeah that ended stupidly. The whole point of the Squid Game contestants is that they’re all trying to make quick money. Then they agree with Gi-Hun to go on a suicide mission. Lmao.
