Glad to see reactions back, hope Null didn't have to spend all night coding for it.

Looks like the number scores are "real" now instead of random numbers...I wonder how far back they go since he mentioned having a gorillion reaction updates in the DB as a yuge pain, and we probably don't need year old notifications stores. @Null any option to truncate and cut down on the storage/lookup/migration issues?

I have a question.

From what I've read in this thread, the most tangible negative effect of allowing notifications is that there are some retarded faggots out there who get so assmad about negative reactions that they start flame wars with each other and even file reports to staff. I get that you don't want to ban them and agree that would be overkill. So what I want to know is:

What obligation do you feel you have to take these people seriously and not just tell them to fuck off and deal with it?
People dared disagree with The Leader, for which they were called faggots and retards by The Leader in many words.
Simple as.

Most of the reactions are from bot accounts spamming the "Autistic" sticker.
I truly don't care about the fucking stickers or notifications thereof— but for fucks sake can we get that cleared too from threads if it's just bot/batch spam accounts that are— hopefully getting banned for it?

It's really rather fucking with my ~delicate~ reading experience. Not a single thread speared of one person's retardation. Don't give them that kind of power or triumph.

Or just give us another registration ban until it blows over.

Just give us a registration ban, it's ramping up right now and rather fucking annoying

Eta: please.

A reaction notification killed my grandfather in the lolocaust, it dropped a grand piano on his head and when they pulled it off him he had piano keys for teeth.

Tragic.

Lock reactions behind a paywall for users who haven't verified emails or have an account age less than 5 years.
some of the stickers are behind the T&H paywall, so why not make the rest of them that way? there is no downsides to this plan. those who want the stickers, and there seems to be lots of people who do, will pony up the money, thereby giving null cash which he can then spend on hookers and finally get laid. and most of these sharty bots arnt going to pay for it, so it cuts down on the react spamming. it is a win-win for everyone.

niggerfaggot retard free access to stickers is necessary for the highlight feature to work

That's why you have the backup then, "Verify your email address," They are still free for anyone who is willing to do so, or has an account age before 2020; it's just paywalled if you want to not want to verify your email address with an account post 2020.
Nothing changes, other than "If you want to use stickers, you have to go through a little bit of datamining."
