I think they're pissed about ratings visibility being back and are trying to make other people mad too, but most people that actualy check them just seem to do so to see thread activity. So, it's basically just resulting in less anger over the ratings themselves and more clowning on the people doing this shit. People who apparently have a bunch of 0 post alts going back to like 4 years ago jumping accounts and spamming autistic or dumb ratings on random posts en masse and getting banned for socking.

The fact that someone has successfully automated something like this is not a good thing. It's not about the puzzle pieces, it's about the fact that if a sufficiently HIV positive individual gets ahold of the bot, that's the end of KF until a more secure alternative to Xenforo can be implemented. Or at the very least, registration would have to remain closed indefinitely. And say what you will about new users, without them communities turn into late era SomethingAwful, which you really don't want.

This was enlightening. It turns out that reactions received is a useful page now that it's accurate. It's a quick engagement feed of your recent posts. The overall counts are probably good to check once in a while as a community indicator of when to stop shitposting, shut up, and archive lolcow dirt instead. Watched threads might as well be called bookmarks, and notification preferences exists. I'm happy with the resolution and agree that abusing the report system over post reactions is retarded.

What does the dislike button even do? Does anyone non-ironically use it? Has anyone actually EVER used it for any purpose? Last time someone reacted to my posts with it it was very clearly a new user that hadn't even gotten accustomed to the forums yet. Might as well just delete it.
