I have no idea what the systems were updated to. I can only hope it was something souper dooper seekrit, but we all know the odds of that are low.

Edit to add: according to this article, they use the same system but now it utilizes solid state digital hardware.

See the article I linked just above your post. It appears that many of these systems have been updated to solid state hardware.

Edit to add: I read the article a bit more. The US government kept the existing Strategic Automated Command and Control System (SACCS) because it doesn't have an IP address and is so old that it's hard-or-impossible to hack and is not as susceptible to electronic warfare. What they changed was the hardware that the data is stored on. The software itself is constantly kept up-to-date by a lab of developers dedicated to that single task.

It appears that the system is still secure, but we all know what assuming does.

They ignore that for most Americans that isn't hallowed ground, it's little more than a brothel where whores gather, funded by our tax dollars, to sell our futures, amass personal wealth, and make our current lives more miserable.
