Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Dave Filoni’s ‘STAR WARS’ film will reportedly feature characters from ‘SKELETON CREW’

Maybe the purpose of At Attan could be linked in, but the kids at best should be minor roles. So that really just leaves Jude Law and the pirates. We all know Jude Law's character will have some kind of redemption, turn around by the end of the season. Or maybe not. Who knows. We'll just have to wait and see when he ignites the light sabre and it's red or we see it bleed to red.

Yeah, I would get Thrawn using At Attan as a way to gain fiancial capital to rebuild his fleet. But I also kinda just want Skelection Crew to just be its own thing in the Star Wars universe and not have to build to anything.

It'll all depend on any significance revealed about At Attan or if it still remains secret at the end of the season. My gut feeling is it will remain secret. Jude Law will help keep it secret. That doesn't rule out The Mandolorian capturing him as a bounty, he overseas a message from Ashoka and goes, "I know some people who can help." Goes visits the children. *eye roll* It's funny how little faith I have in the writers at Disney. Where the dumbest thing I can think of is something I would believe they'd write.

Given no one goddamn talks to each other in LFL, trying to string together any ideas at all on how characters will be used, especially by a guy who never improved as a writer and who just shits out things to happen to add characters is doing more work than Dave and others will ever do.

Never do the job that the writers, director, and other staff on set are supposed to do.

Good writing, consistent characters, and thought out plotlines are racist you bigot. Educate yourself and do better.

I'm a bit late, but this latest episode sucked. As always, the mutt disgusts me and I want to beat that kid to death with a rock at a convention in front of his coal burning whore of a mother, but I also don't like the way it handled disabilities. Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker were both disabled and shown to be capable heroes (although Luke is kind of a whiny bitch tbh, but I'll stop now before I piss anyone off for disrespecting the holy trilogy or whatever). Anakin Skywalker lost a hand and was an absolute chad afterwards, being without a doubt the most powerful movie Jedi (so not including Starkiller). Even after losing both his legs, he was the single most powerful and feared motherfucker in the galaxy. George Lucas very clearly has views about disabilities not needing to define somebody but Kathleen Kennedy and everybody's favorite soy duo the guy who directed Elf and the guy who sucks at Star Wars unless George has him on a leash like with TCW can't respect that and need to show that people with disabilities are victims and aren't capable of everything their peers are and they're so oppressed because of that. They essentially gave Lucas the biggest middle finger since The Last Jedi and nobody seems to notice this.

Jake Lloyd just opened up about being diagnosed with schizophrenia.

He has been battling schizophrenia for a while now.
What happened to him is really heartbreaking tbh. No child should have to go through what he did.

Hey that's not fair to Leeland Chee, who's the one guy everybody talks to and has to sort everything that's relayed to him into a catalogue system that hasn't had a UI update since 2005 that is subsequently ignored by everybody except for the biggest faggots on the publishing side of things and the people at DK who I can't bring myself to call faggots because their non-Star Wars stuff gets kids interested in the world and history.

He and Ahmed Best got wrongfully harassed for their no performances. I was never annoyed by their acting. They tried their hardest despite the clumsy directing and awkward dialogue they had to deal with. Sorry George, love you but you’re more of a big picture guy than dialogue guy.

What I did not like was the whole "break up" between the kids and particularly the two girl characters was resolved before the end of a 30 minute episode. Like it didn't feel particular earned to begin with and the resolution was so quick it might of well not have happened in the first place.

It's simplistic and always comes back to, "you have doubts but no, you are a great girl captain." I enjoyed the latest episodes. I was always a bit skeptical of the amount of praise people gave to Dallace Bryce Howard for her direction of episodes of these shows, but I think I've now seen enough to agree she is a good director.

The disability stuff was fine, it was a bit too forced in, our world stuff to make a point than organic to star wars. Star Wars isn't a world where technology breaks from some steam or moisture. It's all a bit forced and I don't know how much to lean on, "It's a kids show" when it's not and the average age of the audience is probably 50 years old.

Yeah. Jake Lloyd never deserved any of the hate and as a result of this, people are too afraid to criticize Skeleton Crew. If I could take all the pain he went through and give it to that filthy mutt, I would.

I refuse to watch Skeleton Crew because it’s Disney Wars. I know I sound like a Lucas tribalist but I can not fathom to watch it. Skeletons Crew looks like a Stranger Things knockoff.

This is why I’m refusing to rewatch the What If trilogy because I know it will be worse than I remembered. At least when I rewatch Revenge of the Sith later this week (I’m currently on a rewatch of the Complete Saga by the way), I can have a good time and even chuckle at the baby mama shenanigans Anakin has to deal with.

I just don't care anymore. The only Star Wars things I get excited for is when they decide to rerelease one of the classic games onto the modern platforms. But at the same time they seem incompetent at even that since they still can't be bothered to add native HD support to KOTOR.

I'm curious about something. Is there a point at all to Disney's "lightsaber bleeding" shit? Does it make a lightsaber stronger, or is it purely edgy bullshit to show how eeeeeeeeeeeeevil dark side users are?

My understanding is that it's because of TCW retconning Kyber Crystals to be sentient and bonded to a Jedi, so bleeding them bends them to a dark side user's will so they can have more control over the lightsaber without it being heavy (I've never liked Filoni's heavy lightsaber thing because Lucas always specified that lightsabers were weightless and Anakin used Nicanas Tassu's saber just fine). The real world reason, though, is that Filoni needed an excuse for Ahsoka to have white lightsabers because she's special and the perfect Jedi who could undo spiritual damage done to a bled lightsaber.

So it all boils down to making Ahsoka the most special and powerful Jedi in the galaxy, just like every other creative decision made in this franchise outside of the movies. Honestly, for as much shit as I give the sequels, at least they tried to do something that wasn't just making Ahsoka the bestest Jedi ever who fucks wolves or some bullshit.

We taught her to grab a ligthsaber backwards like a dildo.

If you ever need to remind yourself why Dave Filoni is one of the worst writers and directors out there, keep in mind that he has repeatedly and desperately tried to push that his shitty waifu is the Star Wars equivalent to Gandalf. He has even commissioned art of it.

His ultimate goal is to make her the emissary or the face of the force itself, and so you can never bully him hard enough. Especially since he's less butch than JK Rowling of "read another book" fame, who could at least kill characters she liked.

Lucas always specified that lightsabers were weightless
Pretty sure Lucas, during the OT, explicitly compared sabers to broadswords like Excalibur and emphasized that there was a weight to them. Which is George being ignorant about how much a broadsword like Excalibur would weigh(4.5lbs max typically) and then the pretenders to the throne latching on to some misguided idea he almost immediately dropped.

Afaik the only source for that is Mark Hamill and I'm not going to believe a word he says.
