That's cause Fringy is the typical Discord intellectual. He reads Wikipedia articles and Googles things so he thinks he's smart - He really isn't though cause his knowledge stops at the surface level the searchbar can quickly spit out.

Fringy's bad but I don't think he's said anything comparable to Rag's comment that Thomas Aquinas wasn't as intelligent as him.

Sorry but watched one of the highlights and Nerrel is the biggest faggot for defending Last Jedi with "The Emperor was just as poorly written as SnokE. They're exactly the same! Both non characters!". Palpatine is manipulative, campy and smug as all hell, you watch him and he embodies the cunning authoritarian while having this sense of ancient evil coming off him, you immediately understand how someone like that got to power. Motherfucker carried the Prequels and Return of the Jedi on his back. Snoke couldnt carry one film, by Nerrel's own admission!

Disnoids and Sequel defenders wind up exposing how little they actually understand Star Wars with stupid, contrarian takes like this. Setting aside any OBJECTIVE assessment of the writing, assuming that these characters were written the same then surely the audience reception should be the same, or similar. And yet Palpatine is a genuinely beloved character by the Star Wars fanbase while people who even unironically like the Sequels don't focus on Snoke, they focus on Kylo - I don't think Snoke even has a single enduring meme.

Not a Star Wars fan in the least, but reading this reminds me of why I appreciated EFAP in the first place. People who defend the new stuff at any cost, while tearing down the things that people liked and that made the franchises exist, are the fucking worst.

It's not like EFAP have high standardd either, but they're still at least one tier above the likes of Nerrel and Brown Table.

As bad as that is, Rags only does that when it comes to atheism or Christianity, he doesn't pretend to be knowledgeable full time. But his new atheism is pretty boring. I remember him using the "can god create a rock so heavy he can't lift it" while being unaware that it's a rabbinical debate that's already been answered, it's not an atheist gotcha.

I’m sorry. No. Even if you just take the OT and compare it to the ST the Emperor is way better written. Just take Empire alone and you can tell it in the first scene..

Vader stops chasing the crucial people he needs to chase to fly out of an asteroid field just because the Emperor wants to talk. He then removes everyone from the room because the only way he can actually recieve the call from the Emperor is by kneeling. And nobody but his master will ever get to see him doing so.

You are shown more in 10s about the dude than you ever are with Snoke.

This is a dude that clearly, from everything we have seen in IV and V so far, has the strongest and most deadly person in the galaxy willingly kneeling. And he hasn’t even said anything yet.

If we were to factor in the conversation or ROTJ the difference would just be even more stark.

And using the PT in any regard would just be beating a dead horse.
