And rape is a large part of the shock value in the Fear and Hunger series. Although it's not a PlayStation de-make troonslop style game, I think it does line up with the idea that the grungy sexual and violent content in those games is something troons gravitate towards.

I would even say the one troon character in Termina is written well enough to not be obnoxious but their inclusion most certainly drew trannies to the series like a moth to flame.

Would it be fair to say that the best way to dissuade trannies would be to have purely only straight characters in your game? I know Fear & Hunger 2 has the one trap, and that's probably enough for mass dilation to occur. I think the best way to dissuade them is probably for the game to be very evidently against their delusions. Or have an openly hostile attitude towards them on social media. Being publicly associated with the farms would also help.

It’s alright for what it was. It was just rarely executed in a good way, thus most PS1 games look super janky and “uncanny”, especially after playing past-PS3 era titles. The major thing I truly dislike about all games inspired by PS1 era is the jitter. People say it’s nostalgic, but it’s actually as nostalgic as smallpox.

I think the "genre" that 'tubers have had the biggest impact on is Walking Simulators. Instead of having to trudge through the whole thing yourself, you can just watch someone else do it and skip whenever it gets boring. You're not really missing much since gameplay takes a backseat to visuals and/or story, and because of all that it could be argued that watching a walking simulator is a better experience than playing one.
Biggest example I can think of is Omori, where a normal playthrough of the game takes 25 hours. The game is at its strongest when the focus is on the story, but all of those parts together take up about 3 hours at most. The remaining 21 hours is entirely fluff and filler, it's a Hazbin Hotel-like slopfest where the creator plays dollhouse with her OCs and nothing important happens. Without YouTube, Omori likely would've still been a cult classic among JRPG fans where extremely long games are the norm, but Video Essayists and Omori Full Playthrough No Commentary made the story-focused parts of the game accessible without having to dig through all the filler. YouTubers taking the 3 hours where stuff happens and gluing it together is what gave Omori its mass fandom culture appeal.

I think the dev changed Marina in Funger 2 to be a tranny in order to drive up sales because they are a pretty large sales demographic on Steam. Miro kinda got the idea that once Funger 1 got viral he really wanted the second game to sell well too but also didn't want to have his series be branded as a 'chudcore' since Funger 1 had a lot of edgy content.

Trannies are absurdly easy to buy their 'loyalty' (though it's a double edged sword since they'll attack you over the smallest slight, lmao) see Gianni's fanbase. Literally just add a tranny character to your game and make them the most pandered to character ever (Marina has anachronistic dialogue; literally talks like a quirky zoomer despite the game being set in the 1940s, he has a lesbian yandere plotline despite the fact no self respecting cis lesbian would ever fall for a troon of their own will, tropey daddy issues subplot, etc.) and they'll eat it up.

That or just say 'trans rights!!!1' once and again; they'll eat it up and become ride-or-die fans. But be careful if you say something bad on social media, because then they'll swarm you like you're the next JK Rowling.

Sadly, I believe the character Marina was originally meant to be just a normal woman going by old concept art when Funger 2 was supposed to be set in the modern day before being changed to be set in an alternate WW2 setting.

I interpret Funger 2 as being a homage to PS2 era horror games like RE4, Silent Hill 2, Rule of Rose, and the like. Marina just looks like your average PS2 horror game protagonist if it wasn't for the tranny backstory, y'know?

I think his reasoning is less pragmatic. Miro has his own server, which is infested with trannies and fags. I can't remember where I heard it, but the Maria guy is supposed to be based on one of his weird Discord tim sycophants. Basically, it's the case of a dev pandering to his buddies by adding their badly-written ocs, much like some tumblerina would insert her dedicated readers into her fanfic, without any rhyme or reason. Other examples would be the cringy gay furry and the Mary Sue angel who is also some troon's oc. Representation shekels are a big incentive too, of course.

A similar thing happened with WoH, where another Discord fan shilled his lesbian waifu as a playable character, which also makes me wonder if this is some sort of manipulation tactic. Find an indie developer with good potential, love bomb them, stroke their ego and slowly groom/guilt trip them into adding trannies, fags and other fetish shit.

And it's a pretty predictable outcome, since F&H was doomed from the start. Miro is an open faggot and definitely a tranny fucker. A guy wouldn't add such detailed rape scenes if he didn't get off to the idea of a weaker male being dominated by a stronger male. Unironic faggot thinking, reaching far beyond a berserk homage.

I've killed Maria every single time I've played as other characters, and that's the only fun thing about him, because he's so annoying and whiny. His backstory is what I hate the most, as it's a classic "he was forced to grow up as a girl, but he turned out to like it all along". Fuck your John Money bullshit, it's literally a plea to allow hrt and transition surgery for minors. Why is this such a common tranny backstory anyway? It can easily be spinned around as transphobic and conversion therapy-like since other people decided for the character who he is, and then he just happened to accept it in the end. It could be a very fucked-up and scary backstory fit for a horror setting, but the problem is that the writer is immature and lacks self-awareness.

Also, Miro, I really like how you drew the "yandere cis lesbian"as an ugly AGP and depicted the tranny as an uwu animu girl who is lusted after by several characters. Very subtle and realistic, you sure do know your target audience. Im ready for my magic hats and puzzle pieces, thx.

This had happened even before discord servers and the internet, it is just much easier to make a parasocial relationship between an awkward creator and an awkward self absorbed idiot who wants to be fanfic'ed into something. Now you don't need to go to every convention or send hundreds of letters to try and badger them to add your cool idea, you can befriend them online instead and kiss enough ass to get in there.

These types of people overlap in wanting to make everything gay, but it is because they're insecure and want everything to be about them. If they were far right furries and someone was allowing them to make a far right insert into a piece of media, they would be doing that. This is general bad fan behavior, not connected "make everything gay". I agree, as although games such as Buckshot Roulette and Iron Lung are relatively good. Graphics and artistically It always felt like it was missing something that would tie it together in making it feel like a proper retro game that doesn't feel out of place on a ps1. Though Cornkidz 64 doesn't have this problem thanks to the dev doing his homework.
