UK British News Megathread - aka CWCissey's news thread

https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Didn't they literally make a Grooming Gang plot in one of those infamous garbage TV soaps of the UK where they literally made all the groomers white and even some police officers, and also all right
Yes. And iirc thst plot had a dude be honestly convinced by the right wingers and none of the good guys had any rebuttal to his ‘what’s wrong with protecting your own country?’ remarks. Like to the point someone says ‘what they are saying is wrong’ he honestly asks why and they straight up can’t answer him. It is the funniest shit.

It honestly felt like they had to be rapist groomers because thst was the only way we could discard their talking points because the people writing the show csn’t actually argue against them.

It’s ‘oh they were lying to groom so what they were saying must be wrong’. No one actually convinces the dude that honestly believes it that what he believes is actually wrong.

That leader is also very much linked to previous pedos too. I can see what will happen to Starmer as what happened to Boris his cabinet over the next few days will leave because siding with this is actual suicide politically but publicly. I think Cooper or Reeves will be the first to go because even not due to local losses he is actually in no confidence range because he lost any cushion that could protect him.
There's a difference between how the tories and labour decide to start a leadership race that has me always hedging about whether Starmer will actually go (even though I keep saying he'll be gone by May). The tories trigger a party leadership election if enough backbenchers convince the 1922 committee (voting membership of which is open only to backbench tory MPs; ministers and front benchers can only observe) to approach the current leader with a demand to step down. An election is then announced and the process of nomination of candidates begins. This means that a tory leader can be blindsided by an apparently sudden demand to resign, unless he was paying close attention to the mood of the back benches.

Labour's process has no such back bench process. Instead it requires that potential candidates first find enough support to stand as candidates before they can formally request a leadership election, which gives the current leader a very visible signal to negotiate with potential challengers, or possibly eject them from the party. This is why the tories tend to have more leadership elections than Labour. When a tory leader resigns, it's because of the men in suits telling him he has to go. When a labour leader resigns, it's usually because he's decided he doesn't want to deal with the mess any more, or because he was compelled by circumstances.

The only way Starmer is going is if he's faced with such a profound scandal that he simply has no choice but to resign. Fortunately, he has several to choose from.

Greggories patisserie is a pure 1488 National Socialist organisation.
It's the ovens. They do something to a man's mind.

This is a common propaganda technique. The BBC has often used its entertainment in this way, with politically disfavoured talking points placed into the mouths of reprehensible characters, in order to discredit those views by association.

DIdn't Labour get less votes in 2024 than they did in 2019 when they got historically crushed in the worst defeat in like 100 years?

The delusion of the British political class about their own legitimacy in the eye of the people is downright awesome.
Call me crazy, but I don't think Tories or Labour are unhappy at the prospect of collapsing voter turnout

Who will be outed first, Kemi or Keir? I think Kemi could pull a lot of black voters away from Labour. A large majority of black people in this country are quite conservative and traditional, socially and economically, especially Nigerians (a reference to previous posts about the train platform).

Also who's buying coffee from Gregg's? The only thing worth buying is a good, traditional London Cheesecake and if love these then you're also elite.

A scouse taxi driver has been jailed for 7.5 years for messaging people on Telegram during the southport riot.

Guilty of mean telegrams and owning a copy of Mein Kampf (which he didn't get charged for but the BBC left it in anyway).

The Telegram channel was identified by the group Hope Not Hate as a "catalyst for and origin of a series of posts" concerning incidents of violence, prosecutor Arthur Gibson said.

The court heard McIntyre shared content from a site called Tommy Robinson/Britain First/For Britain about a protest in Southport on 30 July.

He also posted a map after adding: "Mosque at the top of Hart St."

In a later post he wrote: "Rise Up English Lads. 8pm tomorrow St Luke's Rd Southport."

Hours before violence broke out in Southport on 30 July he posted a "clear threat to police", writing: "Message to All...Stand in our way, even if you're just doing your job...prepare to fall."

Among character references were letters to Judge Neil Flewitt KC from McIntyre's parents and a family friend, the court heard.

Mr Nutter said: "Those who have spoken on his behalf describe somebody who is very different from what we have heard from the prosecution about him."
"He seems like a nice chap and all he did was sent messages on Telegram. 7.5 years"

His relation to Lord Alli is also very unusual. I have never heard of a gay man gifting a straight couple clothing. Both alli and lord ahmed of rotherham were ennobled by Blair.
Pondering this a bit more I went and asked my gay friends if they'd ever do this.

Bluntly, unless they were paid as a stylist, no. (Think queer eye)

Unless they wanted to have sex with the guy at least.

Make of that what you will.

Point was less that they do that and more there is straight up a scene where good guys are asked why bad guys are wrong and straight up can’t answer.

It’s not even hard to discredit but the BBC is so fucked now they just straight up can’t do it and are too dumb not to show that to everyone.

Whereas brown people who commit arson and rape and groom and traffic young girls for sex are given a couple of years, and out in half for "good behaviour".

In the case of the Mudslime who headed the Rochdale rape gang, a man who claims he is too scared to go to Pakistan himself, but is happy enough to pack off his daughters there to wed a cousin, no doubt, who was released after 2.5 years of a 6 year sentence (get your head around that, 7.5 years for hurty angry words, 6 for raping, grooming and using girls as prostitutes) and is still living in Rochdale, where he comitted his vile acts, a decade after being told he would be punted back to Pakistan.

Because obviously, a child rapists life and rights are substantially more important than those of his victims, right?

It turns out raping children is the golden ticket, and clearly TPTB love child rapists.

This is important. (Others may have said this already.)

Tonight
, for Britbongs, there is a show on Channel 4 at 9pm. It's called Accused:The Fake Grooming Scandal
C4 are focused on the one girl who lied.

It's a sad fact that actually some girls do lie about being raped; the accusation is a major source of power over a man. There are also many mentals who will seek attention by putting themselves forward during a major publicised case.

Sad but true, in part because it makes things harder for genuine victims who are far more numerous than fakers.
Most victims are real.
And we all hate rapists

Channel 4's bullshit must never distract from the fact that sexual abuse is a real thing. A serious thing. We don't handwave rape just because one girl lied. These cases were extreme.

The bigger story is that thousands of little girls were raped in the worst way imaginable.
And our broadcaster is more concerned about the one woman who lied.

Fuck Channel 4. They could have pulled this series in light of recent events. They chose not to. That's a political decision.

Why release this documentary now?

Why release this documentary now?

Because they despise you, me, us, the majority of native born British people. They fucking loathe us. Haven't you watched any of their output the last few years? It's all mixed race couples, pushing the troon agenda, glorifying the grossest most ridiculous aspects of other cultures, promoting abhorrent views, and laughing at, and tarnishing as racist, anyone who raises concerns about the mass influx of criminals, rapists, and terrorist sympathisers into this country.

It's to try to convince people - and the fart huffing, metropolitian cunts who voted Labour to virtue signal and look like "good people" will absolutely fall for this- that all these girls are liars. Instead of looking at what went so drastically wrong in that poor cows home life she went and did that, they will discredit her, and by extension, all of the victims of these gangs.

What she did was wrong and, if the victim of her lies is blameless and faultless, I feel for him, as rape is one of the mose serious allegations you can lay at another persons feet. However, one false accusation does not write off the hundreds of girls who genuinely were victims of these rapists, who have been, at all stages, protected and coddled, by the State, from lenient sentences, for which Two Tier Kier is directly responsible (I can't call him "Sir" Keir, Keir Hardie would be fucking sickened at the idea of a namesake of his choosing to be knighted) through to being allowed to stay in this country because *their* home lives matter far, far more, to the State, than the right to recover and heal their victims should have, but which has been cruelly denied them.

At every point, these people have been protected, and at every stage, their victims failed. And this is solely down to the choices of the State, who have actively chosen to care more about Muslims who think rape is okaty because their "prophet" was also a nonce, than about the indigenous, lawfully-here population of this country.

Further edit to say this: I'd be interested to know about the victim of her false allegation. If he is truly blameless then he must be compensated by the parents of the girl, who have raised an amoral little shit. Or is it a case of "well I did do rapes but I didn't rape her?". IE, was he someone who was involved in that, and the girl who falsely accused him joined in as well,or was he some poor, innocent, truly blameless fucker who was targeted by a girl who has clearly been failed by those entrusted to raise her?

I would imagine this poor bastard is pure as the driven which is why C4 are latching onto it. While I have every sympathy for him, fuck him for taking part in this, when there *is* a problem with Muslim, especially Pakistani, rape gangs in this country, and thousands of girls have had their lives destroyed.

I gotta say, despire his geographical disability, I really do sympathize with Starmer. Having to deal with all these racist rightoids whinging about supposed "Pakistani Rape Gangs" when there's literally no evidence to support it is just as wild as Trump's whole "Haitians are eating cats in Ohio" senility.

Maybe one day the British will be able to hold themselves to some form of accountability instead of blaming all their problems on others.
