They are currently polishing the Meta Quest 3, which I'd say is necessary for an actual metaverse, and Apple dipping out of VR for the time being will also help them corner the market. Facebook has never been that bad with censorship really, but this is still positive news. If people wanted to push a chuddy point of view they would get it done via fb groups or other means without any serious bans usually.

What would really change things up is if a platform that deals more with culture and information like youtube or reddit reversed some of their extreme censorship, you can't even fucking swear on youtube anymore or show a gun and I'm sure we all know how insane the literal tranny power mods are on reddit. When people want to share media to the largest possible audience they use youtube, when people want to have discussion of a topic with the largest group of people they use reddit.

I would hesitate to say twitter is entirely free since elon "jeet lover" musk is in charge but it's also better than it was at least.
