feel free, but do note that it might fuck up the news events. if i were you i'd try removing pol pots news event from the main world news loc file and putting it in a separate loc file all by itself, then removing the main world news loc file so it doesnt overwrite that same file if any other mods (such as 2WRW) that modify it are enabled. you should also check the cambodia localisation file since one of the ideas still references the previous communist leader, so just ctrl+f and replace it and we should be good to go

he is in the game files under his birthname (saloth sar), but he has a generic stickman portrait. interestingly enough the TVtropes wiki page for SEA mentions him as being involved in the young khmer government (the KMT-inspired nationalists), and in the game files he's listed as a foreign minister. of course, letting the TNO devs cuck the single most impactful leader of the 20th century simply wont do, and i thought it'd be funny to implement him anyways since it's as easy as changing a few lines of code and localisation.

anyways @GoodWinSon disregard my previous post, i've made a new .zip and it's got all the changes i told you about, including making pol pot leader of the communist ideology (ingame he's leader of the socialists). you cant get it through gameplay and only through manually setting the communists as the ruling party through the console but i thought'd it'd be funny anyways, i even made another portrait for him.

Turns out the TrooNO devs chose the IRL Vietnamese puppet Khmer flag instead of the Democratic Kampuchean flag, so I fixed that, this will probably be the last version of the mod barring a bug or some other thing I missed.
Now I'm not sure but I might be able to upload the mod myself through the use of a fresh account via family share, since the uploading of mods to the workshop is done through the Paradox launcher and not Steam directly. Maybe I'll try it when I get around to finishing the Tyumen mod.

havent updated the tyumen mod so far, i tried booting it up several days ago but the loc file seemed to be broken, probably because of some missing quotation mark that screws up the entire code structure so ive been procrastinating. in the meantime ive played the aryan brotherhood and it's got me thinking: assuming vagner does a successful 2WRW (at least taking muscovy and the caucases), could russia be mostly germanized by the 2010s?

• He was replaced with Philip Hart by the Unfinished Business expansion from Toolbox Theory, both because plans are being made to expand Space Race mechanics and make them more independent of individual presidents, and because some of the creative team considered his content mediocre in quality and unfitting to his real-life self. (One described him as a "lackluster IRL Atari Dem who was a corrupt party stooge and deficit hawk who opposed social spending, and someone who couldn't give a speech to save his own life.")

Didn't the same thing happen with their original Japanese team or the original soundtrack guy? They were outted as 'evil racist bigots' who hold the wrong opinions and got ejected from development.

Anyone with even cursory knowledge of Leninism will tell you that Sablin's path is quite silly. I don't mind it though. A gang of nobodies in Siberia completely misunderstanding Lenin and creating a libertarian, semi-democratic USSR is quintessential TNO humor.

This is still why Africa is such a clusterfuck as its written by people with no understanding of it. We may never know what the original plan was but it seemed that guy did most of their Africa lore and plans. They then fired him and instead made the super concentration camp RKs in their place. Which itself does not make as much sense to have that much land, supply it, and what the Germans are doing there other than nazi = racist and racist hates blacks and will colonize Africa. Africa is in desperate need of a re-work but the TNO team does not have the tact to respectfully handle African politics.

Assuming its not gone and if you want to dig Glenn was a fan favorite among the RDs probably since he was the only one not boring. He represented the whole indomitable human spirit thing since he never gave up on reaching for the stars and can even land on Mars showing up Germans and the Japs as well as being able to detente with them and make all three super powers agree to deescalate on the nukes making Himmler buttmad. They can dress it up all they want and Hart is not bad per se. But cutting Glenn was just them being pissed off at a reminder of old TNO. TBH you could just sum up the TNO modding history with that picture of Stalin airbrushing Yagoda out who was next to him with Yagoda being Pink Panzer.

This used to be brought up fairly frequently on the Paradox forums back in the early days of EU4's dev cycle when people were asking why Paradox was investing so much time into the Amerindians and steepe hordes when Europe and its powers would fail to reach anything resembling their IRL outcomes and inevitably the third-worlder fetishists would hugbox anyone arguing for Eurocentrism into negrate oblivion. A common liturgy of theirs was that the game was only called that because it was an adaptation of a board game, as if the majority of the people playing EU4 were not playing it to play as European powers.
