I can't find any videos produced in the last little while which would explain this away, and all of his most popular videos are at least 3 years old. His latest closely supervised Dark Souls run isn't pulling in anything greater than a normal AAA release either.

BSV's most likely just a troll. Seems to be pretty self-aware and his dedication is quite way more than i'd personally find healthy, just by the fact he puts his own money in it. He's probably the same case as KG, where he hates detractors so much, he'll believe himself to be DSP's secret police. It seems to be working. All that disposable income of his seems to only be giving him more and more power in Phil's place, while keeping the joke that is Phil Burnell artificially relevant.

He's an admitted ween, he first started donating to Phil because he wanted to see him crash & burn at Sonic '06 (Patreon goal from late last summer) and keeps donating because he doesn't want the trainwreck to stop. I don't think he understands that ironically giving a con artist hundreds of dollars is still a fucking waste of money, but that's beside the point.

I actually think its because he did spend a little bit of money on all that equipment. That's a really shitty microphone quality and its super echo-y and tinny. His voice sounds the same to me, just clearer and rounder. It doesnt make his shit better, but I think that's whats going on there. He's using a microphone that's better than the 20 dollar Wal Mart stand up version.

You have to keep his age in mind. He sounds different in older videos because he's not forcing it and trying really hard to be obnoxious and loud.

Sounds like DSP is doing whatever he can to avoid going to the doctor. He's either afraid that he will have to spend $4,750 dollars on surgery to make sure he lives to see his 6th anniversary with his unpaid fulltime girlfriend or David Tenant is one of his biggest detractors.

DSP's stream started lagging during Dark Souls, and after ignoring the chat telling him this for 10 minutes, he finally sees it, proceeds to call the people complaining about the lag idiots and retards and says "they aren't his fans" and resets the stream, only to not have it turn back on.
This guy is retarded.

He could probably use a CPAP. For all his whining and lies about having a bad back, gout, etc. he does have something wrong with his nose and throat. His honking and snorting like a fuckin' pig all the time is proof enough. Some Youtube comment said he has an illness that overproduces mucus in the nose/throat. Furthermore, there are pills and other treatments to manage it. And finally, even if you do have this annoying illness, you don't have to snort and clear your throat obnoxiously like Phil does.

Phil could probably benefit from non-medical techniques to manage his snoring and other maladies. Sleeping at a higher angle at night, not shoveling unhealthy shit down his gullet, and getting more physical exercise. But none of that is going to happen, so it's a moot point.
