Never really cared much one way or another and understood what people's problems were with troons since they were mostly contained into cesspool Ladychat/D&D (which was always terrible)--that is until one stormy day I saw it. Fire's doxx. It was horrific beyond even the vaguest Lovecraft description could hope to conjure and I snorted out coke all over my relatively new fancy keyboard.

It was a painful experience.

In more ways than one.

What damning information could they possibly get by "spying" here? Will they learn that their forum is falling apart and their users are abandoning them in droves because they're tired of not being allowed to express themselves?

The only risk is people giving us screencaps will get themselves banned, but at this point it seems like every fallen goon will get replaced by two more.

I have a lot of sympathy with people whose mental map of their bodies is at variance with their biology, and that can really mess you up - I know a few transgendered folks, and it's not a fun existence. Not a surprise that some of them go off the rails a bit.

But there's a big difference between that and being a cross-dressing fetishist hiding behind the "protected" trans identity to evade criticism, or to scam sympathy, bed and board, money and whatever else from credulous dolts. Especially if your "trans" status coincides with you taking an extra-large plate to the revolting fetish buffet, loopy political opinions (such as worshipping dictators who would have put you in a death camp at first sight) or regularly melting down on Twitter and Deviantart. 10 years ago SA was pointing and laughing at those people. Now those people are in charge.

My master plan is as nefarious as it is inexplicable. All of this public information that the mods obviously already read will be capitalized on somehow and the key to my success is taking a tired years old internet meme that apparently belongs to someone on something awful that isn't me.

People on SA don't even know the recent drama about the shmorky threads or the admin fights on their own forums. The GBS thread that lasted a few hours had a bunch of people asking what was even going on due to the China level propaganda control the admins have going on, so no most people that only visit SA have had no experience with people like fire.

That topic would be considered problematic and you aren't even allowed to disagree with or post something a tumblrina thinks could be considered offensive.

Does anyone remember Aleph Null? He was some fat middle aged goon who was convinced to go trans by the other troons. He talked about Lisa Frank stickers and painting his toenails. Every photo of him looked ridiculous.

The worst part was he had been married for like 20 years. His wife wasn't into this but he told her he'd kill himself if she left him so this poor woman stayed with him out of pity. He'd get mad that she didn't want to get pedicures together and shop for dresses like a teenage girl. Think there was even talk about cashing in their retirement account to get him on hormones.

Anyways, he eventually left when his abuse was chronicled on other forums. But Ozma went in and stealth-edited out all his old posts that chronicled the abuse he had toward his wife.

Yeah. Go into any of the more obscure subforums and you'll see people with tens of thousands of posts about the same topic.

It's one of the bigger problems with SA since you can't go talk about most things without getting swamped by omega level autists that live and breathe the subject, and don't like their habitat disturbed.

That's why the topic of bad moderation isn't going to go away. This isn't troposphere banning no-no words or Snowsa Parks probating people she disagrees with. It isn't even FAU being comedy's anti particle. People are deciding what they don't want to read and it's completely subjective and all over the forums and completely supported by the mods.
