TJLC - The JohnLock Conspiracy - Fine Whine Tasting Session

Tonight's episode of At Midnight should be quite entertaining because Hardwick is going to force the contestants to rip hard into this bullshit. I hope.

So its basically the exact opposite of what happened when Korra and Asami were confirmed canon at the end of Legend of Korra?
Yep. The Mary Sue and their ilk can act like male gamers or whoever have a monopoly on misogyny in fandom all they want, but I've seen stuff outta yaoitards so nasty it'd make loveshies tell them to tone it down. They might not be able to be nearly as blatent about it on tumblr, but it never went away.

If all these bisexual teenage girls want representation so bad you'd think they'd be all over shit like Madoka or Utena since they have canon queer characters who are teenage girls (thus even more like them than grown men), but of course that's not what it's really about.

I don't think I've ever seen an actual gay men even use the term "queerbaiting", let alone bitch endlessly about it. That's pretty telling.
I thought Madoka was really popular on Tumblr, especially with the SJW crowd? (And I say that as a big fan of the Yuri undertones in Madoka) I dont think there's any really "canon" lesbians, besides maybe Homura in that show.

I thought queerbaiting was when a politician insinuates that his opponent is gay as a way to discredit him? That's the only way I've ever heard it used.
Queerbaiting these days (by these people's definition)means the show's creators go "we're gonna make you think these characters are going to be gay lovers but they're not actually going to". It's pretty much REEEEed whenever a popular show with two male leads ends without them fucking each other.

Tumblr should just be lit on fire and dropped into the sea. What happened to the good ol' days when someone could just post some wild slashfic on their live journal and be done with it?
Tumblr delenda est.

Have another helping:

The latest theory in the tag is that the BBC is lining up a SUPER SEKRIT episode where Sherlock won't be called Sherlock but it will fulfill all the fujoshi fantasies. But even that isn't okay, because some thirsty nobodies on the internet didn't get their way. Unforgiveable.

We feel fine, but you seem like you need a lie-down.

She judges them for making gay jokes when her icon is of Watson behind Sherlock and Sherlock making an O face. Fucking hypocrite.

TBH, it seems like the ending was supposed to be slightly accommodating to these people - it showed further continuation of Sherlock and Watsons' lives and showed no romantic pairings. Thus, the fans could construct their own "after the credits" stories (be they slashfics or any of the other multitude of possibilities) and hook them into the cannon series via the clips in the ending montage. However, these people seemed to be incapable of comprehending ambiguity in any way, shape or form and thus wouldn't be happy with anything less than pornography to "prove" the relationship, hence the current shitstorm.

KyoSaya is basically canon as of rebelion and Homura has been word of God confirmed as being in love with Madoka. As for tumblr popularity it's decently popular though still nowhere near as popular as the big m/m stuff or Steven Universe, plus it does have a small but vocal hatedom of SJWs mad that a man directed a show about teen girls (Riley is a notable example, complete with whining about it being torture porn or whatever they accuse it if).

I remember a couple years back there was a list of the hundred something most popular pairing tags on ao3 floating around. There were only four f/f pairings and about twenty het ones, the rest were all m/m. Even some pairings that were quite popular at the time like madohomu or bubaline didn't make it on the list at all. While I'm sure the exact pairings have since changed, I still highly doubt the bit about it being overwhelmingly m/m has.

For as much as they try and hide it tumblrinas really are just overgrown weeby yaoi fangirls.

In the tumblr sphere it means writers of shows hinting/joking about romance between two same sex characters to attract LGBT audiences but never make it canon. The word gets thrown around A LOT. Doesnt matter if the writer is gay, if there are other gay couples in the show, IF THE CHARACTERS I ARBITRARILY PUT TOGETHER TO PLEASE MY PUSSY AREN'T OFFICIALLY MADE A COUPLE YOU ARE QUEERBAITING.

Do a Benedict CumberFlip, bitches!

all these repulsively pathetic fujoshi sobbing about suicide and self-harm... but then they never actually deliver! The disappointment I'm now feeling over their refusal to follow through and kill themselves is so intense that I feel they're abusing me. I've been COWBAITED for 5 pages and counting!! Where's my hashtag?

I honestly didn't care if they did make them a couple. It would have been different but it made no difference to me and I'm a huge fan of the original works. I just liked the idea of putting the characters in the modern day.

The wailing fangirls who are saying the writers shit on the original and Conan Doyle obviously never read about his thoughts on the character of Sherlock Holmes. He hated he was only remembered for him and being fooled by fairy pictures.

If the BBC do respond I hope it's to tell them to fuck off and grow up.

This is beautiful.

Underneath all that fan love they proclaim, they are really just fanatical wannabe fanfic writer headcanonists who don't give a fuck about what they actually saw, but what gets them hot and bothered in their heads.

It's perverse, pathetic, thirst in it's most distilled form, and holy shit, is it funny.

And as someone who read the original stories, Doyle was no different. Sure he, left some possible hints for those who thought Sherlock and Watson were more than just friends at times, but it was vague shit that could be interpreted many different ways, and he never actually came right out and said they were gay.

If they are pissed the show followed the books in this regard, they just need to masturbate to some bad lemon fanfic of their fantasies and get over themselves.

He should have been gender speshul too uwu

Oh yeah, that's another angle. Sherlock is a Trans Man too according to some of these folk. I mentioned earlier that there are quite a few mlm tumblr folk kicking around in this. There seem to be loads claiming Sherlock made them see who they really were or some shit. Saw a photo of one of them with the cast (all looking fed up and bemused) at a convention tagged something like "Look, I'm the missing Holmes brother!"

"Sherlock, why do all of our fans want us to fuck for no real reason?" I asked, stroking my moustache. Holmes downed a glass of whiskey with some pills and replied, his voice trembling as he spoke.

"It's Elementary my dear Watson. Autism. That is all."
