My mom found my old metallic blue 3ds in the garage, no stylus but complete with the box. I swear it was broken since I knocked it off a shelf and I remember it not turning on anymore, which is why I got my Pikachu XL one a few years back (and then my Happy Home Designer New 3DS XL this Christmas since the old Pikachu one is starting to show some wear and tear) but surprisingly enough, it works perfectly!

We were originally thinking of trading it in (CeX would give me about £70 for it) but then I realised that the firmware is still 4.5.1 since it hasn't been updated in years, so those Gateway flashcards could still work on it. This makes me think I could get more money for it selling it on ebay as "GATEWAY READY!!1!" as I've seen a lot of people do with limited edition New 3DSes, but I'm not entirely sure....

New laptop should be ready tomorrow. I will be so fucking glad to be done typing with a tablet. It sucks for two reasons. First is autocorrect. Second is I'm one of rose guys who can type without looking on a regular keyboard, so its annoying to type with a smaller pad that can be rather clumsy at times. Trying to correct mistakes can be a hassle when you have trouble positioning the cursor.

I'm that way too. Of course I learned that in high school typing class.
 
There is a bus stop outside my condo building.
Everyday this gaunt Ryan Stiles looking guy goes to the stop, lights a smoke and does this little dance, thrusting into his knee and taking puffs like he's counting them. Puff puff thrust, etc.

I got on the bus with him a few times and he rides three blocks and does this in the other direction. Clearly an exceptional individual if I ever saw one.

Final update on the new laptop. The guy couldn't get the information off my old hard drive with his current setup. He lacks the right equipment, but was already getting it before I asked. So recovering my old files will have to wait until then. Managed to get into all my old hangouts though, though I had to reset a couple of passwords. Had some issues with download speeds, but that changed after running a disk defrag/updating my driver and fiddling with the options. Flash games seem to be a problem, and but Steam/GOG seem to be fine. I have a number pad againfor the first time in years and it's throwing my typing off. The keys are just slightly to the left of where I'm used to.

Still, I have a laptop again and holy shit does it have good battery life. My old one couldn't last half an hour off the cord.

There's so much snow out. The temperature dropped into the teens last night and I had to put an extra blanket on the bed because it was so cold.
 
I got my first set of black and white prints from a photo studio a few nights ago. Turns out it's one of the few places in the state that'll give you your film negatives back.

They actually turned out surprisingly well, tbh. I'm thinking about investing in some more black and white film really soon.

You should look into setting up your own dark room and develope your own pics! I got a lot of fun out of a photography class I took in high school that did just that!

It's 2:20am. I have been in this library for 9 HOURS straight so far doing this entire 2,500 word essay that is due in by fucking noon and I've reached 1,900 words and don't know what else to write. I'm running solely on poundland Mountain Dew at this point and I need sleeeeeeeep so bad :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(

It's also worth 80% of my grade for this class. I hate everything.

Finally finished. I don't trust my time management skills enough to go home and get like 3 hours sleep just to turn up here again early to hand it in so I'm just gonna use my remaining energy drinks as fuel and stay up all night at this desk tonight. I'm not the only one pulling an all nighters since there's like 2 other guys in here even though it's 4am.

Plus, this all nighter may be the big push I need to correct my trash sleeping pattern and get an actual bedtime routine going.

Mom came over tonight, wanting to spend time with me. Can't say no, so we ended up watching a movie together (she likes movies, but doesn't want to learn how to use a DVD player since "I'm so bad with electronics". Sure mom, you can use a cell and a tablet but a DVD player is beyond your grasp) Since she likes comedy movies I decided to throw in Sharknado, partially since it's been on my to watch list. She had a blast with it.

So I've been investigating an odd lingering itch going on around and often within my anus. As it turns out I actually have an ingrown hair. Preparation H does not work like it should, even after it had been removed.

Also for some reason, even after I properly wipe with regular moist wipes I still have a teardrop shaped turdlet attempting it work its way out every time I walk for an extended period of time. I usually find out when I get really itchy down there.

I had to unfollow yet another person on fb because they got engaged. This is getting out of control. I had an anxiety attack the night before we went back to work a few weeks back because one of my coworkers got engaged over the holiday and I knew I'd had to hear all about it.

Wedding shit is the worst.

Especially when you're asked to attend and if they are a close friend you feel obligated to do so. Pressure can be a bitch.
